It is also part of a systematic pattern by Trump to attempt to undermine press freedom in order to shield him from negative coverage.

The First Amendment is part of the U.S. Constitution's Bill of Rights. It specifically prevents the government from establishing an official religion, interfering with religious exercise, censoring speech or the press, infringing on peaceful assembly, or denying the right to petition the government

 

That's what the current Republican platform is fighting against every single day. I have little faith this train will ever get back on track.

 

What recourse is there against a Department of Justice that behaves in this manner?



The Platner's administration subpoenaed a Times reporter for a story they didn't like.
