    "Can everybody see my screen?"

One more person says this and I'm gonna start taking hostages.

A funny story about the film "Office Space" making a thing about TPS reports missing the cover sheet and the bosses calling the employee out on it. I worked on a program once that generated TPS reports via batch and sent them out as memos programmatically. It was pretty f-ing funny when I happened upon that assignment. In the film, these are made up reports. I think it stands for "Test Program Set" reports in the film. In the real world, there is a TPS report which is "Transaction Payment System" reports or similar. And, yes, the report memos had to be formatted spot on according to how things are done. The report formatting for the memo had a header record and a trailer record that controlled categorization (for loading each memo into a database) and distribution (who gets the memo in the memo system) and such. I was laughing my ass off when i got the assignment. Then, my boss would drop by like, "How are those TPS reports coming?". Umm....yeaaaa.

Gemini taught me a new term: Administrative Friction

"I managed to avoid the bullshit bypass the administrative friction"

Very useful for administrative friction artists.

Little 'proper' speaking alternatives for crass terms just tickle me. I can use them in any company and laugh inside.

Nice way to lubricate the situation. Commendable. You're now promoted to VP in charge of VP's.
