Nix looked like he's done pretending to lose weight.

9 to 5 time for him.

Yeah, he did. He pressured the ball a lot. So need to clean up his fouls. He had 4 turnovers as well.

he gave up trying to be point guard and decided to try out for power forward.

Nix with a solid 0.16 assist to turnover ratio

Copeland seems to have the most nba intangibles & build to make it, something to persist with there.

What I noticed with Copeland, Thornton, and Cluff is that they're mature guys. I didn't have the sense that when they had a 10-point lead, they were just about to squander it or play senselessly. Do they all have limitations? Yep. But they can grow, and they look like workers. Maybe there are some future rotation pieces here.

Bruce Thornton was a second round draft pick - he isn’t a lottery pick. All they hope he does is eventually become a back up point guard that can give them competitive minutes off the bench.

He is slow - he isn’t a gifted defender. However he is strong, works hard and has some ability to score and protect the ball.

People need to have fair expectations of him. He was a good pick for where he was taken in the draft.

He will also be able to play early - he is an older and more experienced than most kids in the draft.

As long as he doesn’t take a lot of time from more talented players - I love him for a second rounder.

I was about to post that. I wonder what criteria he's using for that? Maybe something we're not thinking of? Either that or his search just included players drafted by the Rockets since he was drafted by Memphis and traded to the Rockets. Who knows.

He had some nerves early, but settled down. I like his overall game and size, hopefully he continues to improve in these games. Would love to see him develop for us.

The thing I liked about Thornton was he always seemed to prioritize making a good pass and still scored a lot.

I hope this means something. We dont have a point guard and need one badly. He needs to do this in the NBA. Also, it'll be a miracle if Ime gives a second round pick playing time. As badly as we needed a pg, no matter how good JD looked last year Ime never gave him steady minutes.
