LOL, after watching E6, I'm not sure if Cape Fear just jumped the shark or went next level. Spoiler At this point, the show literally has no protagonist. No character elicits any sympathy and there is no way to change that in the final 4 episodes. I realize this is not a new concept, but Cape Fear is the first show I've watched where I wish harm on every single significant character. However great or terrible the plot becomes, I'm going to finish it just for the experience.
S2 wasn't bad, but just didn't match the energy of season 1. Went from real beef to psychological beef. A step-down in quality but still worth a watch.
Alt Shift X was my go to for recaps of the later seasons episode by episode. Watch out for the spoilers! https://www.youtube.com/@AltShiftX/
Apple TV series Widow’s Bay really good comedy-horror series 9/10 so far, and will watch the final episode tonight heard a S2 has already been green-lit because of the success
I've been looking forward to this one for a while. Apple TV has been knocking it out of the park this year. Getting that classic HBO feel with some of these shows...
Did anyone bother with the last Season of WEDNESDAY? I have not been motivated to check it out There have been several shows like this DJHarris
Price is Right episode 4801, January 1982. Mary is an unemployed exercise instructress. Spoiler: she didn’t win the showcase showdown. Mark did and he won a car AND a flippin sweet 1982 4x4 Toyota truck.
Price is Right episode 4802, January 1982 In the showcase showdown, Carol passed a four pack of week long trips to Mario. Carol ended up getting to bid on a rickety ass ‘airplane’ and some other crap. Both overbid. Bob also gave Mario **** because he had a slight ‘Spanish’ accent and bullied Mario until he admitted his mom was from Mexico.
Meh, more of the same. Up to you if you liked it you probably will again, same if you did not. I was ambivalent the whole time I watched it. I'm also struggling finishing season 4 of resident alien.
It's unfortunate how many shows run out of momentum but still tack on an extra season or two. Resident Alien was novel enough to be good for a couple of seasons, but there is only so much Alan Tudyk can do. I had no intention of watching Wednesday S1, but gave it a try after the reviews and crazy viewership numbers. I thought it was decent. For me, it was an all-timer for exceeding expectations. But the novelty wore off quickly in S2 and I was done with it. Shows like Wednesday that take 3 years for the second season are usually DOA for me unless they are exceptional (or Sci-Fi).
Really liked Resident Alien first couple seasons. Humor was offbeat Couldn't really get into the latest season that was recently made available on Netflix. I watched a couple episode, but putting a pin in it.
I am on Season 7 episode six, and I can tell the writers are kind of running out of runway, I heard Season 8 wasn't great, but we shall see. Overall this has been a dam fun watch and I am invested in the characters..........................if I had known there was this amount of boobies in this I would have watched sooner
Beef S2: 8/10 I watched E1,~half of E2 three months ago and lost interest. I resumed earlier this week and by the end of E3, I was hooked. The novelty of S1 was gone, but it completely stood on its own merits and was very good. It reminds me of Fargo, where S1 with Billy Bob Thornton and Martin Freeman was so great, I was very disappointed they even made a S2. Then S2 took things to a completely different level and was better. With Beef, S2 wasn't better, but the larger scope, very good acting and different vibe and circumstances made it a worthy follow up. If you give it a try, finish the first 3 episodes minimum.
We just finished season one. Big cliffhanger. Entertaining show. I google when season two will air and find out it’s cancelled. I hate this ****. In the streaming age, I’ve watched so many series that just abruptly end without the actual conclusion.
