Just got a massive boost. Son of Marc Spears. Previously recognized as the No.1 prospect in the 2027 class. Remember that a weak draft tends to correct itself under the current system.

Word is he has to play (2) years at Texas to be NBA-eligible. That would mean he’s at Texas 2026-27 season, then 2027-2028 season if I’m reading this correctly

I am sure he doesn't have to do both years at UT but I get what you are saying. That transfer portal will be lit.

Weak draft, weak pick, another massive L by Stone. I don’t know what the hell he’s doing. How does it make sense to roll out the same lineup after the embarrassment we had? **** Stone, Rockets fans deserve better.

I have this feeling we're going to look back at the 2026 draft like one of the greats, 1985 or 2003.... And Stone decided to skip it.

most of the top 10 prospects in the 2026 draft look better than our prospect taken 3rd overall in Reed Sheppard

looking forward to another pathetic draft class to pick from in 2027

Weak draft classes expose bad general managers. Good players are available in weak drafts.

Stone would take Sam Bowie over Jordan. He just doesn’t have scouts, he puts numbers into Claude n chatgpt. Rolls draft.net mocks and says alright. The consensus tells us to take this guy.

at the top of the draft its been luck. He swung in missed in those late firsts. Josh Christopher who is now playing amazing in Gleague, Garuba was horrible but i think this was on player development more than drafting. We like dennis schroeder said didnt have the right infrastructure at the time. thats the price to pay with tanking

You might want to go back and watch the Reed Summer League videos. Not trying to be a Reed apologist, and Castle may have been the better choice, but with the exception of the top two (which we were never going to get), you can’t compare the rest to Reed’s SL play. And for those who would have traded the farm for Acuff or Kingston? Just nope. Acuff is so small they’re going to start calling him “The Black Reed Sheppard, minus the hops”.

I didn't believe the SO-CALLED draft gurus when they crapped on the 2024 draft class, then I saw Reed Sheppard play for 2 years.

Garuba was horrible because he was not good enough at basketball to be an NBA player, a pretty common thing that happens to late first round picks.
