His legacy is stacking the courts. Thanks to Mitch, Trump was able to stack lower courts, and eventually turn the Supreme Court into a 6-3 advantage instead of a reasonable 5-4. Not even Republicans like Mitch, but he did more for their modern agenda than anyone else.

Republicans suddenly fall in love remote voting.

“i talked to Mitch McConnell on the phone” doesn’t count

Why the hell hasn't Trump gone to see him? It's not like he isn't in DC. Honestly, he should have gone there already, instead of f*cking around tweeting his crap on social media for hours a day.

I don’t think Trump likes Mitch McConnell…he called him a “broken down political hack” and other names a few years ago and has repeatedly insulted his Chinese spy wife

and tbh, if I was in the hospital, the last thing I’d want is that devil visiting me…Trump has such a wicked and sinister aura, the minute he stepped in the room McConnell would be launched to the afterlife if he’s not there already along with the patients in the next 2 rooms

His wife quit in disgust as Transportation Secretary over Jan 6. No doubt Trump views that as a personal insult. He has had a grudge against her for the last 6 or whatever years.

Also, McConnell couldn't stomach and has very consistently voted against the SAVE act which has led Trump to call him a traitor, and all the other names he throws around over the last couple of years. His amimus for McConnell really ramped up when he stepped down as Speaker.

Finally, Trump made up BS reasons not to attend his son's wedding in The Bahamas or wherever, and Trump sometimes acts like he likes him. Someone not in his immediate family? Why would he bother?

I think expecting Trump to care if anybody else lives or dies is a pretty quixotic expectation (excepting his intense interest in how their death might affect him personally). Trump just doesn't care about what happens to anybody not named Donald Trump.

There has been some recent talk about PA Senator John Fetterman switching sides … most likely conservative partisan dribble. I would not be surprised if behind the scenes the Rs are giving that their best shot. Their sales pitch might be “Trump will still treat you like dog **** but at least you will be on the winning side.”

He's going to send the Angel of Death J.D. Vance to see him instead. He's hoping that Mitch will be so annoyed by J.D. that he checks out, like the last Pope did the day after J.D. visited him.

It isn't celebrating death, but making a mockery of the lack of transparency. He's perfectly fine according to a number of Republicans, so how could it be making fun of his death?

This - an extremely astute and capable politician and party leader that is responsible for the Republican stranglehold on the Judiciary.

Trump owes a lot to Mitch - which of course Trump disagrees with and actually hasn’t gone a long with the Republican Weekend at Bernie act with the corpse of McConnell.

Trump hates him - he doesn’t want Mitch to have any power. He wants McConnell to be dead and it to get out… there is a reason Trump didn’t just lie and say he spoke to him.

I didn't say making fun of, I said celebrating.

Meme with someone making a big smile saying they dislike a brain dead "vegetable" guy seems like a celebratory thing, and feels gross, to me personally.

You're probably going to want to stay off the internet when the mango expires.

    No smiles here.

But he's not a vegetable. They just talked to Mitch on the phone. Vegetables don't talk. I wouldn't make fun of him if they came out and said he was dead or close. I would make fun of his wife who is in China instead of being with her hospitalized husband.

I don't think of the meme being celebratory, just mocking. Mind you I would be happy if Mitch was dead. I'd hate to see someone's death dragged out like potentially this is, but the man has lived a long life and used it to negatively impact democracy.

I don't like the guy one bit, but these kinds of things going around the Internet disgust me. I don't find humor in someone having a serious health problem, and find it so gross and disrespectful, especially for them and their loved ones.
