I believe Yao did win Slam Dunk in CBA.

I read that one with my own eyes in that book. I might find it for you if I have time. One of his feet broke twice later on--the Rox had to have that examined before drafting him. It is said that killed his hop and the fact he got much heavier didn't help either.

Actually, JVG is getting somewhere. He has already eliminated all of the possible lineups with Boki included. So, assume TMac & Yao are the sure starters, he only need to try to pick 3 players out of the remaining 10 now, something like,
    10*9*8/3!=120 conbinations

So, by next March, JVG should be able to figure out the best conbination.:D

You are probably right. Did Yao ever compete for Slam Dunks in CBA? I remember saw a picture of him dunking during the competition?

I do wonder why the Rox didn't go to Yao more. He only took one shot and two FTs in the 4th.

I can't believe they called that foul on Yao with 40 seconds left. I'm so sick and tired of players being rewarded for barreling into him at full speed, only to get slightly bumped, and then get the crucial call. Marc freakin Jackson got the call against him for god's sake. That ref tried to punk us on our own home court. Maybe Yao should stop trying to actually make shots and just start jumping into people all the time. That's basketball.

Don't be silly. Yao would just get called for an offensive foul. That's Yao-reffed basketball.

But at least amare had a better game than yao. Just being objective here. Yao sucks and he needs to be traded. A yao and mo taylor for Boozer and AK47 would be good. I would take that in a heartbeat. And a TMAC for Peja and Mike Bibby, i would take that too 24/7. Then kill JVG and hire doug collins or phil jackson as the new coach and now were talking. Go Spurs. Go TD.

If you guy do not understand what basketball is,please leave here. Do not you know leting others into foul trouble is much better than other ways to get points?

THANK YOU! Yao had a pretty good game. Philly threw a suffocating fronting defense around Yao and double teamed TMac to force the ball from his hands. They did not even bother to defend Bowen choosing to concentrate on Yao. Yao was constantly sent to the FT line where he did hit his FTs. The problem last night wasn't Yao, it was the rest of the team as they only shot 30%. It was Yao who kept them in the game in the 3rd period. IMO, they were VERY lucky to come out with a win because it took Philly missing FIVE straight point blank shots at the end of the game to seal their "victory".

    Postgame quotes:

    JVG
On the play of Andre Barrett
"He made some good plays. Let's face it, you've got an undrafted rookie free agent point guard on the floor and he does a good thing, at all hopeful that's a bonus that you can't even hope to get. He's done well. He came to us on October 28th, and for the most part he's played very effectively. We consider ourselves fortunate."

(JVG sucks even when giving thanks)

    T-Mac:

On the presence of Andre Barrett finishing the last 2 games
"To make it in this league, you have to have heart. He's playing with a lot of heart and a lot of energy. He's fearless out there. He's really a competitor and I also like playing with him because he's another guy who pushes the ball and I can get up and down the court in the open transition."

Happy to be AB's fan. Thought I could see more AB appreciation here. But I only saw a troll with "Go Spurs, Go TD"

    First vincejas post this:

After being exposed as Steve only fan, he particularly posted something like:

    and:

It's so sad, vincejas. Why do u support steve like a coward? Why dont u just come out and proudly admit u are steve supporter? There's nothing to feel ashamed! Instead u try to cover it up like u support an evil? It's just too sad, both for u and especially for steve. He certainly wont need such coward supporter.
