Sure - but Burrows value to the Astros is over potentially 5 years, not 3.5 months. It's silly to try to measure a trade that involves 2 prospects and a guy with years of control based on 4 months - unless one of those guys has proven something. As of now, no one has. Maybe - unless other teams don't value our prospects the same way. Again, for something to be a disaster, one side has to really have lost out. Right now, there's no one who has broken out to make this a disaster for anyone. It's just a bunch of mediocre 2nd/3rd tier players/prospects moving around.
The Astros would probably be worse off then, given that they had won 3 of his last 4 starts during the last month.
Tell ya' what, Nick Allen has been better than expected with the bat and of course his D is always above average
Imai has a batting avg against of .074 when he pitches 76 or more in a game. Sounds to me like he should throw 75 competitive pitches before the game starts.
I hope I'm wrong about this take but hoping Imai returns to Japan next season. You'd have to imagine he opts in next season?
