Desperation woke them up. They haven't played with anything near this kind of energy prior to today. This proves if Argentina plays with passion and fire, they are legit. Good to see.
Egypt deciding to pack the back 1/3 and play prevent defense absolutely had something to do with it too.
Brutal for Egypt. Somehow Argentina can't beat the allegations of the referees working a bit more in their favor than they should.
Of that goal, I agree. But they got the 2nd and you have to be able to see out a 2-0 lead with that little time left. They simply quit defending.
Egypt got BONED. I can't believe they wouldn't review the third goal for a foul against Salah in the opposite box, it was the SAME play that they reviewed to negate an earlier Egypt goal. Then when Egypt pleaded for a review the ref started handing out yellows and reds like he was dealing black jack. This was on top of all of the other horses*** calls and no-calls that were in Argentina's favor.
Lol at celebs like Brady tweeting after the game. No Tom, IMO coming back down 28-3 is much harder than coming back 2-0.
I don't fully understand futbol, but this seems especially crazy. Like a foul can have happened a half minute before the goal and you can rewind the tape, find the foul, and disallow the goal. Just... what?
It is a bit rigged, but if the goalie saved the header from the Argentinian, it still would be going Overtime. The foul is superior to anything if it happens before the goal, same as NBA. The difference in Fifa is that you have to complete the action and then review it, unlike NBA, you can choose to not stop mid motion even if you get fouled, that is called Advantage....unless it is an uber Flagrant Foul which you would get the Red card for, yellow card.
I watched from 30' to 90' (I missed added time getting back to work). I think it was officiated fairly. The overturned goal from Egypt was a foul directly leading to the break and score. Seeing replays of the other "fouls" that Egypt wanted in the box are non-calls, the "pull" one is actually a simulation. Argentina were lucky that VAR correctly disallowed that goal. Egypt choked.
it was a foul. egypt choked. the problem is how inconsistent var is. then you add that mess fifa made with the balogun situation and now there is no reason not to think this **** is all rigged. its all ****ed.
