all I can say is that kid better be a Knicks fan and have a vintage jersey squirreled away there somewhere
Sixteen kids, ranging from 1 year old to 18, were found living in conditions that even livestock don’t live in, described Vinton County Sheriff Ryan Cain. The sheriff, along with Vinton County Prosecutor William Archer and Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson, held a press conference Wednesday to discuss the arrests of four family members: Gary Siders Jr., Gary Siders Sr., Christina Siders, and Elizabeth Siders. The four Siders are each charged with 16 counts of endangering children - a count for each child rescued from Siders’s home Tuesday. It was a bit of luck that the kids were found, explained AG Wilson. For about a month, authorities had been conducting an investigation. The details of the investigation were not discussed Wednesday, but the Ohio AG said this “parallel investigation” culminated with a search warrant for the Siders’ home in Vinton County. “We didn’t know about [the kids],” Wilson said. The attorney general said the evidence shows the four adult Siders were “pretty good at hiding these kids.” That comment was backed up by the fact that neighbors in the area told investigators they had no idea kids lived in the home after the Siders moved in four years earlier. The children were not enrolled in school, AG Wilson said. Law enforcement executed the search warrant Tuesday, and that is when the 16 kids were found. Most of the kids were kept in a 12x12 area of the home for the past four years, Sheriff Cain said. He called the area “disgusting,” adding that “our livestock were kept in better conditions than these children.” AG Wilson said it looked like a “third-world” country inside the home. “It’s not the type of thing we’re used to seeing in America,” he said. The attorney general said if they had arrived 24 hours later, there was a “high probability” some of the kids would be dead. Seven of the 16 kids were taken to a Columbus hospital. Two of the seven had to be flown because of their condition, AG Wilson said. As they investigate, Sheriff Cain said they are running into a communication barrier. Some of the children cannot communicate at all, while some can on a limited basis, according to the sheriff.
. Those four need to be locked up for a lot of years. The depravity some "humans" are capable of never ceases to amaze.
