Nice win for us against the sixers! but if we have a rebounding PF he could easily grab that loose ball in the final seconds. look at how many opprtunities were given to the opposing teams. Luckily they missed those shots. Yao needs help so he could balance his game offensively and defensively every night..

Dalembert is sitting the pines for the Sixers. Maybe they'll cut him loose to us for some of our trash. They need a veteran PG to move Iverson back to the 2. Send them Ward, Gaines, and Spoon for Dalembert.

Dalembert may be in the dog house but Philly can get a much better deal from other teams.

At some point Badiane is going to have to make it over here.. maybe HE could help..?

They don't need him to score, just use his energy to hustle after some boards..

I think he could do that now.

They better fire themselves, hire a real GM and keep JVG.

They haven't shown the talent since Les bought the team.

Nearly all the players on the championship teams were drafted/signed by the previous GM. Ever since Dream was out, there have been so many draft and FA mistakes that I can't even keep track with. They do have the luck though with the #1 pick in Yao, unwillingness of Steve playing for Vancouver and T-mac's willingness to come to play with Yao.

Jerome Williams, PJ Brown, Dalembert, Chandler, Wilcox, Swift, Nene etc etc.

Yeah, getting someone that will play defense, rebound, block shots would do WONDERS for this team!

Da Wink, in the future when you make posts like this, please go on to explain to CD exactly what "rebounder" means and how that would be helpful to the Rockets. Remember now, CD thinks that 6'9" PFs like Howard or Taylor can pass for "rebounders" which is why they are on this team and Cato is in Orlando.

Luckily, CD won't listen to you. Or he will trade Yao for a rebounder: Cato, KThomas or Rodman.

The New York Post had an article on Mourning that is linked at Realgm.
The report is Miami and the Nets had talks about a trade but Miami would not take on the 3 years left on Zo's contract.

We could. Especially if we're trading away another low-utility guy with years remaining like Mo or Howard. I'm sure NJ would jump at the TE for Zo, but we'd be better off trading a zero like Mo or Howard, or a declining asset like JJ.

I wouldn't mind Kenny Thomas back on the team; at least he can grab offensive rebounds. But I admit that I've forgotten his game since we traded him away for Posey and, uh, essentially, nothing, given that we let Posey go, too.

    I'm no realgm junkie, but...

Houston trades: Taylor, Weatherspoon, Jackson, Ward, Gaines
    Houston receives: Mourning, Kidd

    TRADE ACCEPTED

    C'mon, it could happen :D

i think the nets want ending contracts so they can clear cap space. howard is totaly out of the question. mo is a posibility. spoon is more likely. i would give spoon + lue or boki for zo. or mo and lue for zo and aaron williams.

if we have to throw in our pick and exchange boki with lue for the second trade i would still do it.

    yao-deke
    zo-AW-jh spoon
    jj-padgett-bowen
    tmac-gaines
    sura-ward-lue-barrett

lue and spoon should be easy to move in a package for a 3.
