If they keep this up, he won't be the only one getting a move to a bigger club. There's already been rumors about Dest to Bayern, Tyler Adams and Jedi to Man United (which I'd absolutely love...he'd be the perfect replacement for Shaw). I can see Chris Richards getting looks from a bigger club, too.
Can't remember which clubs were involved, but there was heavy talk about him getting sold off during the last transfer window or 2.
I'd be surprised if he turns it down. There are no openings that he'd be interested in currently as the top club jobs are filled. Won't have to work very hard for the next 2 years and I'm sure the contract will include some out clauses that allow him to go if a club job does open up. One thing I'm sure of now...US Soccer absolutely made the right move in not hiring Jesse Marsch. He would've just been an extension of Berhalter...just with a louder and more obnoxious mouth. Canada is just a try-hard team that runs real fast...basically what the US had been for the previous 30 years. Outside of Davies, they have no skill. Poch sees the talent and has transformed us into a team that will impose our tactics instead of just reacting to the opposition and trying to out work them. Canada is going to get worked by either Netherlands or Morocco.
I am not really in opposition or advocate for Marsch.... I only know him from Red Bull school of Counter pressing. Wasn't he and Braut Haaland the tandem that won a lot in Austria?
He won a double with RB Salzburg (yes, with Haaland) before moving to RB Leipzig ...where he got fired in December of his first season. Then he went to Leeds and managed to stave off relegation on the final day of his first season...only to get relegated the next.
I hope this is true. I also want to see how he personally reacts to a true qualifying match in Grenada or something similar.
We haven’t looked this good since the sacking of Skalitz, Pochettino stays. But the true test yet to come. like that we faced a press against Turkey just to get our feet wet for what will come. Need to do better tho. But showing promise.
He shouldn't have gotten a red card but I don't like this one bit. FIFA is a corrupt organization trying to make money so this isn't all that unusual, but damn they are so obvious about it. They are worst than David Stern. A red card for that and not for any of the Paraguay players.
I really don't like it either. It's just wrong. Anything positive the team does from here on out in this tournament will have this huge dark cloud hanging over it and will not be seen as legitimate on the world stage. We've been fighting for respect since 1990. It's gone and amazingly it's because 2 of the most corrupt people in the world stuck their noses in where they didn't belong. Still crazy that Paraguay didn't even get a yellow card in that game but France had 3.
Well, we lost but at least we cheated. (By the way, Trump is racking up sports curses that is quickly putting him in Ted Cruz territory. Regardless of our politics, we can all demand that these guys never attend a game or get involved in sports in any way.)
