His ceiling feel like Dan Majerle to me. But part of what made Thunder Dan was his dog attitude and personality. Haven't watch enough of him to see if that fits his playstyle and demeanor. #3 is also an over draft for him, would have to trade down. If the Rockets think that most of the players are about the same from say #2/3 to #6/7/8, then sure.
Don't the Rox have a dozen or so 2nd round picks in the next few years? Send 3 of them to LA for Dalton. You never know when a Dalton will come in handy.
