Ziaire Williams would be a better replacement

If we saw it as Smart OR Okogie, then I guess Smart. I don’t see their player profiles being close enough to compare though, and I actually consider Okogie in somebody that will probably level her out as a pretty good shooter. He was pretty damn good last year.

smart, I’m optimistic that he will do OK in the playoffs, but we know that overall it’s going to not be great. I’d i’d love to bring Josh back, but I also would imagine that that takes our Room down and that we have that Room at a certain number to hopefully attract a lost piece is better than Josh.

Hopefully the Marcus Smart signing is what finally gets Ime and Stone canned. I can get the FVV stuff, even though I disagree with it....but playing Smart is not going to end well.

Hes not a good player and he doesnt add much as an additional playmaker. Although, the difference was negligible Amen and Reed both technically had a higher asst/to ratio than Smart last season.

We are absolutely going to see lineups with Sengun, Amen and Smart on the floor and its going to be hideous.

He should’ve started at the two all year and they should have stuck with Amen playing PG and forced KD off ball. KD playing point and spamming 2 point shots destroyed our spacing more than anything else.

The Smart signing more than anything affirmed my decision to write off next season as a wasted year. It proves they've learned absolutely nothing and are doubling down on Ime ball. If they were hellbent on having a team full of defensive minded hustle guys, Okogie is a better choice than Smart. He's taller, 5 years younger, far more reliable healthwise, and can actually shoot.

But Ime would rather have a guy who was with him in Boston and clearly doesn't care if he can score or not. And regarding the lineups, we could see Alpi, Steven, Amen, and Smart on the floor at the same time. Ime is that stupid.

This is a bummer. Okogie was really good for us. I hope Marcus Smart is healthy this season, because while he's definitely better than Okogie, Okogie didn't miss many games last year and Smart's health can't always be counted on.

p.s. The Jazz are going to be sneaky good this season if they have a healthy JJJ and Markanen.
