Notwithstanding Matanovic's hair product triggering the ball chip (FIFA website says hair only counts for offside if it affects the movement or trajectory of the ball, which is almost impossible to see here), did Renato Veiga deliberately (or not) play the ball before our disallowed goal? Should FIFA install a chip in every player's head so we can check whether he intended to do that and we also remove that unwanted subjectivity from the game? Anyway, Spain would destroy us both, but I'm sad we couldn't watch more of Croatia playing, I really enjoyed our performance.
This usmnt would destroy the last two decades of American teams with ease. They are actually confident, creative, and just physically more dominant in all aspects. They are going to put Belgium’s old squad in the torture chamber on Monday. Senegals speed exposed them and the US is pretty equivalent from that stand point.
Landon Donovan looks like he just rolled out of bed after a long night and slapped on his wig and headed to the studio. His hair is literally sitting crooked on his head like a baseball hat.
its being reported that the england v mexico is being moved up to 12 due to thunderstorms. nothing official from fifa but its being reported as a done deal by some sources in mexico. damn the full azteca experience. they've mostly done away with playing games at 12 because its no fun for anyone. praise be to tlaloc.
Is it true that some players refuse to take the kick? I've seen it in movies. When I see a defender go up to kick, like Germany's Tah, it makes me think the attacking and midfield players refused. But it also seems like these guys miss the kicks on purpose. The ones who send their kicks to the upper decks sometimes stand straight up or even lean back as they kick. Even I know that will send the ball to the rafters.
