I'll take it step further... The negativity on this board is just overwhelming at times... I aint stupid... I know we arent presently on par with the OKCs and Spurs type teams... but dang you'd think you could come to a team's fan site and get some ray of sunshine - lol! I understand folks are frustrated that our tanking didnt produce a superstar - but at least we arent a bottom feeder team... we got b2b 52 win seasons and hopefully we can continue to improve and maybe get lucky if other teams get a key injury or whatever... heck, Tari was leading the league on 3pt% so anything can happen... lol! Anywho... can we at least try to find something positive to intersperse amid all the doom and gloom? I know u hate absentee Tillman - but at least he aint meddling... I know u hate Stone's old uber conservative signings - but at least he aint handing out 5 yr max contracts to these relics like PG... I know u hate Ime's lack of offensive creativity - but at least he's gotten our guys playing hard and creating a culture... I know Dickerson fkd up - but dude has been uber efficient scoring... I know Alpi's d sucks - but he can be fun to watch on the offensive end... I know DFS sucked last year - but only 2 years were guaranteed - so either he turns it around or we can kick him to the curb after this season... I know u would prefer a more dynamic pg - but Smart or any decent pg will greatly help our offense... etc... etc... etc,,, and we got 2 potential lottery picks next year... I guess, what i'm saying is... amidst all the bi*chin and bellyaching can we try to find something positive to lean into? I aint sayin to bury yer head in the sand regarding our obvious shortcomings and challenges... just occasionally toss in something positive... i think it would benefit all of our temperaments. and just give it a minute before u reply "As long as Stone and Ime are around we have no chance of anything good happening..." and try to throw out something positive along with it... lol and i know folks are gonna clown on this... but maybe it plants a few seeds...
I have never come across people that complained about negativity as much as here over the course of the last 15-20 years. I do think however that the folks that should be negative are the journalists ......they really do nothing to criticize the Rockets like ever. For sure it would be different if professionals would just do their job and maybe the fans then could do their job of cheering on the team.
I’m not really a doomer but have accepted what next season will be. Hopefully no big trades means we are heading towards a retool end of season with the 2027 picks and letting Fred expire. I can live with that depending how we treat those picks. Hopefully one of McCoy or Mingo and best guard available with the other
We are done with free agency man thats why the doomers are crashing out. Literally just resign our guys.
Positive note: The signing of Bogdan for the minimum actually addresses a need and is a classic low risk, moderate reward move. Pleasantly surprised that Patrick and Stone did it.

Exactly The irony is some of you keep acting like we’re being negative to be negative when we literally have history and current FACTS telling us that they aren’t making any major moves
This is the equivalent of going to a new trendy restaurant that everyone is talking about and they are known as an expensive 5 star restaurant, but when you get there the service is bad and the food is bad. People have complained to tell them the issues to fix them because they can see the potential in the restaurant, but they literally refuse and just choose to do what they want. So now reviews and word of mouth about the restaurant is getting out and people are actually stating they probably won’t go back to the restaurant. You’re the person saying we shouldn’t leave bad reviews and it’s not as bad as we make it seem. The restaurant loves your type, because they don’t actually have to make real change or figure out how to actually be a top restaurant because you think they are a top restaurant. They are solid and maybe even very good on their best days, but generally they are average or subpar but they charge like they are a top restaurant and their branding is like a top restaurant.
but i wouldnt keep going back to that restaurant... lol why do u keep back to a place you obviously dont like...? I'm here... It aint like mamma cooked... but I'm gonna eat it and I'm gonna pay for my meal - so i may as well enjoy it!
I think you under estimate human nature. We typically don’t like change and we are tribal. We are fans (fanatics) for the Rockets, but everyone has breaking points. Some people’s have a higher tolerance than others. The negative ones like me are pretty much at our breaking points already. But some people like you may not be there yet. The scary thing is us complaining and being negative is a good thing because it’s proof we still care and want to see them make better decisions. Eventually if this next season is a failure and they don’t make any major changes then we will be at the Apathy stage (in which we just no longer care anymore) And then the optimistic fans like you will be where we are now. They don’t want that to happen. Look at the most recent Star Wars movies and supergirl movies as proof of what happens when fans quit and give up all hope that actual smart decisions will be made on something they love.

I watched em trade Olajuwon... and ownership dgaf about what the fans thought... If u think folks ranting and raving is going to make a difference... I hate to tell ya - it aint. All the negativity does is makes a bad situation a lil less tolerable... If we want to indulge in a little gallows humor over our predicament - fine... If u want to offer suggestions for improvement - cool, thats why i'm here! but folks that just wanna be rageaholics are just being a turd in the punchbowl... imho. i would like to see Supergirl... i always loved Lobo...
