Imo the reason for these stats in NFL and NBA home court advantage has more to do with the whistle than the crowd
Idk how fifa doesn’t have better cameras. NBA shows zoomed in tips of toes and fifa has a 1 frame per minute 3x zoom iPhone 6 camera
They say there is a chip in the ball, so I guess they can detect small changes in direction and velocity, but I agree, the camera quality on reviews is subpar.
Unbelievable ending to that match. Literally touched the Croatian player's hair, putting them offside. What a heartbreaking way to go out. And for it to be Luka Modric's last game, an absolute legend, and on the anniversary of Diego Jota's death. Absolutely crazy. I realize there's been a lot of bad things behind the scenes in regards to this tournament...but on the pitch, it's been brilliant.
That’s fine and I like the chip idea which nba is trying to adopt it seems, but for us fans give us something to see. Speaking of chips does everyone else love the HEB ghost pepper ranch corn chips?
As someone who only follows soccer once very 4 years, I feel like they really need to adjust the offsides rules. I believe the purpose of the offsides rule is to avoid players camping at the goal while everyone else is playing on the other side of the field, which makes perfect sense since the speed at which the ball flies is much faster than a person can run. However, I think if everyone is already on the side of the field defending, then there really shouldn't be an offsides issue. At that point it should be the defending team's responsibility to keep any eye on the opposing player. I figure this can be defined using passes from a certain distance from goal, or offsides not being an issue as long as there are x number of players within a certain distance or something. Or alternately maybe something along the lines of if the first attacking pass isn't offsides, then the rest of the actions shouldn't have to worry about being offsides. Just feels really stupid that the last call came down to whether or not it was touched by someone else or not. Another thing, I think they should define offsides by feet placement. Seems wonky that you're offsides because you're slightly leaning, or because you have a bigger afro or something.
