Did we have the cap space to get Grimes?

    That’s shaping up to be the number one concern. Unless you’re old AF and you don’t require “coaching” or “development”.

    My understanding is that we don't have access to our full MLE because we have to preserve apron space to match a potential offer to Tari.

    I'm not saying we should've spent our full MLE on Grimes, but it would've been nice to explore the possibility of using that slot on someone who can shoot instead of being wedded to Tari, who will likely be unhappy with whatever contract he ends up with.

    The Rockets didn’t like Grimes. They never have which is why they didn’t draft him

    This. Need 1-2 guys who can create. Don’t have to be amazing at it, but competent. Though I prefer amazing.
