Giannis was smokescreen we were never in it. Kyrie was the plan all along. I don't buy the Trey Murphy rumors. Any trades are prioritizing keeping the 2027 and 2029 picks. We will be a 2nd apron team and need the talent.
I think many of us are going over the top. I think the rockets are going to be a successful and great team next year! If they can sustain a healthy team, the young players are only going to step up and get better. Getting Fred Vanvleet, Stephen Adams,, Mark, and Bo Bogdanović is going significantly factor. We could be a surprise team next year
Getting Irving for FVV, other filler and a protected 1st is 100% fine with me considering what we are doing.
FVV/DFS/Adams/Caepla/2027 1st/1st with contingencies based on Irving playing 3 years for us at 75% of games. Irving and Washington. Tenting to take Gabbard but we can replace that. Sengun/Smith Smith/Washington Durant/Eason Amen/Thorton Kyrie/Reed
With the Mavs focusing on developing CF, I do believe that they are open for a Kyrie trade. One year ago I would not support this. But after our last year disappointing run, knowing we ain’t got no crown jewel in our young core, I don’t mind adding Kytie to the mix and see what happens. If sending FVV, DFS and a protected 1st round pick can make this happen - I’m on board. But I think that overall, no matter who we bring, if both Amen and Alpi remain together in our roster - 2nd round is our ceiling. Unless one of them develops 3-point shooting, which probably won’t happen with our current coaching staff.
FVV, DFS and a pick is a no brainer for Kyrie. We need to take a swing if we are going to keep up, and this is low risk. IF Kyrie is healthy he’d elevate this team significantly.
This. Mavs aren't competing and FVV and DFS are expirings. Just have to decide which 1st rounder we would give up.
