not wanting to trade KD for JB is so unfathomably dumb, my brain can’t even process the FO thinking like this I can’t believe it I don’t even think it would’ve taken 2 1st round picks with KD…Paul George is that bad you can’t tell me KD, a pick, and 2 seconds isn’t beating Philly’s offer Philly now has Maxey, VJ, Brown and Embiid all these teams making moves to improve and get better in a meaningful way, and the Rockets are acting like they’re the Spurs who just made the Finals or the Thunder who just need to be healthy I’m disgusted
My instinct with Stone is *not* to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's not a sellers market right given the situation in Portland. Let's see who needs an expensive, oft-injured vet PG- Sacramento? Aren't they trying to get Duran? Orlando? Does Dallas want Suggs? Suns? They have $23 million in dead capspace. What would Dallas want off of their roster? Miami is capped out and does not have any picks. We are running out teams rapidly. If Kyrie wants to be in Houston, the Rockets can make it happen and I would imagine it would not be at a premium price.
This is just not our decade. Stone is taking his patient approach to building a championship team for 2056.
I feel your anger. Im pissed too, but I dont think KD is the problem. I mean I was hoping to unload Alpi and I know its not a fan favorite idea, but I dont see it in him anymore. You watch games see potential through out the years and you come to realize people have ceilings. I will give up on Amen, if I dont see a jumper in the next 2 years. I also thought Amen was the future in the Golden State series. We're all fans with different perspectives though. I do agree with you, Jaylen Brown is franchise changing player. Even though he would've cost a lot.
Talent/skill wise Kyrie is exactly what this team needs. If he can be had for cheap I don't see why you wouldn't do it.
34 years old small PG, coming off blowing out his knee, and a known malcontent everywhere he goes? Sounds like a Stone kind of player, sign him up It worked since it worked so well in Brooklyn when KD and Kyrie were both in their prime. Man, we're going to mortgage our entire youth movement for old, injury prone, chemistry killers. From youngest to oldest in 2 years, yipee.
Jimmy butler have issues making it to May basketball just like Kyrie and kd if yall want to tank, jsut say it
if we could’ve traded Durant and DFS plus the worst of the 2027 picks for Brown. I probably would’ve done that. it might not make us better next year, but it extends our window and does make us a better defensive team. To me, the signals that Durant Wants to stay and that we are planning on that.
It would have made more sense to trade Durant for Jaylen to get younger. But now that it's over, gets Kyrie, try and lure Lebron, promise Harden ownership to Club Onyx. Make a Brooklyn Nets 2.0 plus Lebron.
Stone is too much of a p***y to trade Durant, he's too busy trying to cultivate an image of the 'Players' GM' AKA the opposite of Daryl 'assets' Morey Someone needs to tell him there's a reason every successful GM is a cutthroat liar. Do you think Jerry West and Danny Ainge are out here trying to be friends with the players?
The 1st pick is important here. Butler would be a filler. If KD can get Kyrie with him to Houston, then it could be somewhat different. He might be fitter than FVV, but it’s possible that he may not be completely healthy for the playoffs.
