What's really ****ed up is they are making those moves with 14% of their cap tied up in dead money .... Stone doesn't have those problems.

I'm pretty much done with both of them.

What's funny is that someone asked Ujoka after losing to GSW in an exit type interview what he needed .... he point blank said " a couple guys that can shoot 40% from 3." Yet we keep getting wings that can't shoot or midget guards that can't .... do anything.

Idk man, I’m pretty sure the Suns are going to need to average like 130 ppg in order to be a playoff team. They only have like 2-3 above average defenders.

The Rockets CANNOT offer more than 2 years, $12.5M total (via the Taxpayer MLE) without being hard-capped at the first apron again.

Great role players like JR Hardway and Kennard only need 6 million per season, it's so ****ing cheap.

But our money are wasted on scrubs like:
    DFS
    Davison
    Tate
    Jeff
    Adams
    Holiday
    Capela
    ...

Stone is really an awful GM.

How many of these rostered players would find a spot on the roster of other playoff teams?

Yikes, it sounds horrible when it's laid out like that but that's the truth without the Copium. Dickerson cost us our most impactful defender as well (arguably)

Green, Sengun, Jabari, Amen, Reed.........the best one there wasn't even a lotto pick and he had to force himself into his current position.

We're so screwed it isn't even funny.

It’s bleak, but there’s more problems than have fully been displayed. They haven’t played a good team in a playoff series yet.

Regular season defensive stats in a 82 game season versus the various 29 other teams doesn’t mean anything when the best teams get together and play eachother 7 times in a row. Every different team bringing a different challenge.

Gos both ways, the defense being reactive and protective rather than aggressive and pressuring makes the offense harder.

At Marcus Smart's introductory press conference the first question Stone will get is "That's it?" And he'll say that we needed to spend $20M a year on Tari Eason, who can't dribble, can't pass, can't stay on the court, and forgot how to shoot for 1/2 the season.

Those are Ime type guys though. So whose more to blame. If Stone allows the coach to shape the roster (Because he's a lawyer and probably trusts the coach) which looking at the Roster he does then we need to get a new coach.

I'm not sure if that's an indictment on Stone or if it was just the way the picks fell in each given year and ended up being some terrible luck.

It's not like there were franchise level players picked after Green, Jabari, Amen or Reed. There were good players & role player types but not franchise guys and that bunch is pretty much what the above list is.

You gotta get lucky and have a franchise guy when you pick .... The Rockets just haven't had that luck.

They haven't helped themselves in other ways .... and roster composition is ass.

This completely ignores the context of who was available when we were drafting in the top 4.

    But okay.

We could have used both Kennard and Smart

Don’t think we could have signed both. Smart signed for just enough to keep us from being hard capped.

Just to be clear, we are limited to signing Smart and vet minimums because we have to keep cap space open for Tari's new deal, who is our fourth best forward and will likely take the qualifying offer anyway. Is that correct?

    We signed Bogdan Bogdonovich.

I rather have Smart Bogdan and Tari over

Smart and Kennard (assuming he wants to be here)

What happens if they can't retain Eason? And FVV's full knee explosion holds him out til December. Bodgan catches a day to day contusion?
    Sengun/Adams
    Jabari/Amen/Sengun
    Amen/Amen
    Durant/Reed
    Smart/Amen/Reed

7 man rotation. Rook isn't seeing more than a minute under Ime.
