Yeah, he's 37. But, KD has adjusted his game and regimen...it's been down to a science for quite awhile...played the second most minutes in the League.(needs to be cut down wherever he plays next year) He's still one of the best closers and shooters in the game.(being able to get it off at will is his sig)
    26/5.5/5 - 42% from 3, deadly midrange, with underrated D
    All for only 45/yr

Needless to say, KD has the most value to a contender or a pretender...a team with the pieces in place. He needs to not be asked to do too much. (like last year)

So, considering what Toronto just paid, for Kawhi....

I'll use mid to late first round picks for value purposes.

    I think 4 or 5

KD as a player has some value. His alleged burner account behavior has dropped interest from other teams. The Rockets are stuck with him. It seems to me that he’s only interested in his stats now.

With what was paid for Leonard, I would imagine it is 2 to 3 first rounders. probably at a minimum. As long as he stays healthy we should be able to trade him through February but I am certainly fine with doing it now. We need to target contending teams that have a young piece to pick up. I don’t know him very well, but somebody the other day brought up Cason Wallace. or what about maybe to Indiana for some sort of package of Nembhard/Huff/Jarace Walker.

4, 5 firsts lmao. OP’s endowment bias is worse than Stone’s. I’d be ecstatic to get half the package LAC got for Khawi

I thought he meant 4th and the 5th pick not 5 first round picks.

KD is worth Marcus Smart and a bag of chips

I think Detroit needs a big move badly. My understanding is that they have a narrow financial window; things are about to get real expensive for them. I’ll bet they are salivating for KD. He fills their biggest need and he’s cost controlled for 2yrs. I bet we can get two 1st round picks far out into the future, like 2030 and 2032. Hoping the rockets take this opportunity to pivot.

I think we could easily get a couple frps for him...

I think he knows he fkd up w the Dickerson tweets and will be on his best behavior... dude has worked too hard to have that be his legacy...

if the tweets never happened... then we'd get 3 or 4 frps...

Ppl talk about the OG OKC in high praise while all 3 of them I would not take as Numero Uno in postseason.

If you merge them, Russ would come out as the guy that can shoot and make fewer mental mistakes.

Wish we had that option in the poll. Either way front office won't do it for that little.

Should’ve jumped in while Hornets were blowing it up and got their #13 & 18 for him. I’d who I would trade him him. Jamal Murray if that’s actually possible or just deadline / next draft for a pick. Don’t really want back a bad / long contract.

I think Kawhi is a very accurate comp. His recent/degenerative injury history makes up for being 2 yrs younger than KD. And on KD's end, I think the burner stuff has very little impact on his value. The buying team will have assumed that KD learned his lesson.

I'd hold out at the deadline for at least 2 solid FRPs and a swap.
