I would imagine his agent called around to see if there were teams interested in him that may pay him more than his currently salary and he probably came up empty. KPJ may be a talented player, but the baggage he carries plus he doesn't really elevate a team to perform better doesn't make him an attractive player to have around a winning team.
Looking forward to bumping this when he is benched/cut/traded in midseason to make room for higher upside players.
