I'm not sure what Portland's doing, but this guy should be our target. Scoot's finally healthy, maturing physically and mentally with age...ready to break out. He looked great in the playoffs...has the J...looks to be more of a scorer than originally thought.
Scoot Henderson shot 42% from the field and 35% from deep last season…those are both below average This board’s infatuation with him is based off what? 5 playoff games? Why isn’t he just another brick layer added to the pile?
Didn't you post something about "our franchise is being run into the ground" a couple of weeks ago, but here you want to buy a used 4 year old Audi?
You have to look at the circumstances...young, hampered by injury, lots of guards... 22 yr old, #3 pick (would have gone one in a lot of drafts)who is starting to move and play really well... Again, shot 40% from deep over the last month and a half...
I think teams are trying to mimic the Spurs and adjust their roster to match up with them: 1 Stretch 5/Rim Protector 1 Forward 3 Guards Our team is the complete opposite: Forward (Sengun) Forward (Jabari) Forward (KD) Guard/Forward (Amen) Guard (Reed)
Just like an Audi, great as new, brakes down quickly, expensive parts, value down the drain after 3 years, doesnt last more than 6-7 years before you have to throw it into trash
Yeah, I like the scoring and on ball long term but he’s ready to go next year as a winning modern 3&D 2nd guard ala Cason Wallace, VJ Edgecombe, Andrew Nembhard. In a few months, the prevailing thought that Jabari Smith Jr should be off the table for Scoot Henderson is going to look really dumb.
Why are you putting more emphasis on a month and a half sample size over an entire career worth of bricks and below average shooting? He shot that for a month and a half and still ended up at just 35% from deep 2 of our biggest weaknesses are good PG play and good shooting. Scoot hasn’t proven that he helps in either category it seems like CF just wants a collection of guys with the same weaknesses who can’t really shoot…a hodgepodge of talent that doesn’t fit together
For KD? Absolutely not. For DFS and a heavily protected FRP? Sure. Fun flier but not worth blowing real assets on.
The Blazers brought in a guy to work with him, and played him off ball more....like a hybrid 1/2. The game has slowed down for him.
