Hey doo doo, it is no longer a myth in your shiithole state of California. You have communists in your state confiscating money from its citizens.

"In late 2025, Google co-founder Larry Page quietly assembled a real estate compound worth over $170 million in Miami's Coconut Grove, relocated business entities out of California, and established Florida residency before the January 1, 2026 deadline set by the proposed California Billionaire Tax Act. The ballot measure, backed by the healthcare workers' union SEIU-UHW and now officially headed to voters in November, would impose a one-time five percent tax on the total net worth of roughly two hundred California residents worth more than a billion dollars. Page was not alone in his departure. His Google co-founder Sergey Brin, PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, and several other billionaires moved assets and residency out of the state before the cutoff date, collectively pulling an estimated tens of billions in potential tax revenue with them. In this breakdown, we trace the full arc of Page's journey from a Michigan college town to building one of the most valuable companies in history on California soil, and examine what his decision to leave reveals about the state's fiscal future.

"What makes this story more than a billionaire relocation headline is the structural fragility it exposes. California's personal income tax funds roughly two-thirds to three-quarters of its general fund, and the top one percent of earners generate close to half of that revenue. That concentration means the departure of even a handful of the wealthiest residents carries outsized budget consequences for schools, hospitals, and public services that serve forty million people. Governor Newsom, despite his progressive credentials, has openly opposed the measure and acknowledged the departures as validation of his warnings, while Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang took the opposite stance, saying the prospect of paying the tax never concerned him. We explore both sides of the argument, the broader wave of wealth-tax proposals emerging in other states, and what happens to the people who cannot relocate when the tax base beneath them begins to shift."

Imagine being gifted the most beautiful ocean views, excellent agricultural lands, bountiful natural resources (oil), and and almost perfect climate... and somehow ruining that with liberal Democrat policies to the point where you've got a fiscal crisis in the state AND people would prefer to live in boiling hot Texas and Florida. Now that's incompetence -- WOW!

Liberal policies are horrible and liberal politicians squander the natural gifts that their states have received... Losing Elon Musk to TX should have been the wake up call. It wasn't -- Democrats doubled down on stupid and now the rest of society's most productive citizens are fleeing for the exits in California!

traitor george continues to publicizes his willful ignorance, what else is new
    the list is so yesterday.

this life-long Republican. who has voted for Trump 3 times, has more than doubled his bet on Newsom, investing another $ billion in the Golden state

    • in his early 20s, he sold his Oculus VR firm to Facebook for $2 billion
    • after being fired by Zuck, Palmer Luckey founded Anduril Industries, who makes surveillance drones and develops military AI software for the Pentagon;
      • the Calif-based co will be expanding to another $ billion facility in Southern Calif.

for the education of OT, this effectively will bring back the impact of the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT).

Trump 1.0's tax cut, in 2017, included provisions that significantly reduced the impact of the alternative minimum tax (AMT)

bringing back the impact of AMT can be a winning platform for Newsom

When California was reasonably governed, including by Ronald Reagan, Arnold, and other right-center politicians, they laid the groundwork for today's success. Now they are led by the extreme left and everything's turning ugly. A predictable result of liberal policies. Who knew -- if you import the 3rd world and then adopt their policies, your city will look like where they came from!

Texas and Florida are benefitting greatly from California's failed politicians and leadership. You hate to see it!

traitor george publicizing his willful ignorance again

in my books, Reagan was a better Gov than Arnold and Newsom.

for the education of the traitor george, under Gov Reagan, the so-called "Calif exodus" began.

under Arnold, as the Cali Gov, he applied for Federal grant to fund the Cali Hi Speed Rail system,
even tho it was ill-conceived by his GOP predecessor Pete Wilson
