Lot's of these lower level insiders like to assume we're involved in trades because we have the assets and are currently in a competing window. We're just the flavor of the month throw in right now. That's why guys like Lowe are surprised when we don't actually do anything.
The offer is going to be Sengun, DFS, and a non premium or protected pick or two (Hou's 28/30) Then we will be labeled the Houston Hospitals, Memorial Hermann will be the jersey sponsor, etc.
If we are just swapping players for better fit then sure I’m okay with it. I want no part of a deal that sends out ANY first round picks or swaps though. Sengun and DFS for Kawhi works. Sengun is the only young player I’d move for him because I have concerns about his trade value tanking if he doesn’t very quickly improve as a shooter and/or defensive big. People will rip me for this but I see a Enes Kanter trajectory in his career if he cannot improve. I’d rather move him now than sit and let the league sour on him over time because if those deficiencies.
By in the mix, It probably means we'll be the third team in the deal and pick up a little salary and a second round pick for the effort.
And no Brooklyn/Phoenix/Dallas picks, we need to stop giving away good draft capital for nearly-retired stars
FVV and DFS are expiring. Kawhi is not. So yeah, not giving up draft picks. Would rather send them KD. We could possibly be pretty good if he is healthy, but in no different position cap wise than with KD. Leonard is a way better teammate. LAC could probably do better than FVV and DFS, though.
I think Kawhi is expiring? I mean, he might push for an extension, but I think he's due to be an UFA next off-season.
KD and Kawhi on the same team, even at their current age is still something that can do some damage in the playoffs. Unfortunately, not enough damage to win it all. I would not give up the house for a part time, past his prime superstar, again.
I think somebody aleady sad it, but if in the mix means FVV + DFS for Garland = I'm on board Then flip Davison + SRP to Toronto for Jamison Battle
