This is what i've always thought... he could totally bring everything Rodman had + an ability to finish at the rim...
Thats why I would much rather we lean into his existing attributes and stop trying to make him a PG or whatever...

Because of his goofy color commentary (Dr. Hibbert laugh), we sometimes forget how great Drexler was…

Amen should be traded. He hasn't developed **** in 3 years here. You don't commit a huge percentage of your cap to a guy that regressed in year 3. We tried this before in Green, and we traded him a year later. Granted, Ime's offense is so bad that it doesn't help any player on our team, but the Thompson is a star narrative needs to go away just like Stone/Ime.

It's so weird to me that people didn't think Amen improve on offense this past season. His usage percentage and minutes both jumped significantly. He had 73 touches per game versus 54 the previous season, and his time of possession per touch also increased. His role changed to become the initiator much more frequently, resulting in a lot more defensive attention than last season. Despite that, his overall scoring efficiency remained essentially unchanged (from 60.2% true shooting to 59.4%). Yes, he did take a step back on his 3P%, but he also drew more fouls and significantly improved his free throw percentage.

His defense did regress somewhat, but that's probably again because he played the most minutes in the NBA and had a hugely increased role on offense. I'd imagine if we can get his minutes load down and return him to playing as a forward the defense will bounce right back. I suspect the 3P% was also affected by his massive role on the team. Tired legs. He left a lot of shots short.

He has improved each offseason so far. I'm expecting him to do it again, and if he does, he'll likely be a 20 point / 6 assist guy next season.
