Yeah, but this will be harmful to his.......

For Brendan Sorsby, when it rains, it flash floods. He has no one to blame but himself for where he is now.

EDIT: Just read the NFL's letter to Sorsby and they cut him to the bone. Brutal!

Maybe he can sue the NCAA again to get his eligibility back.

It'll be funny if the NFLPA wants nothing to do with him and all the baggage he brings.

Don’t you have to be in the NFL to be represented by the NFLPA?

At this point, I'm absolutely convinced the NCAA is ignoring its lawyers and using ChaptGPT to inform its rules decisions.

They really need to get it in their heads that they will never gets the courts to side with them until they make these kids employees. If they want this type of control, they're probably going to have to use collective bargaining to get it.

They're praying that Congress will give them legal cover?

Probably. But that would require Congress actually passing legislation. My magic 8-ball says "outcome unlikely."

I think the NCAA would rather get steamrolled into oblivion by the courts than willingly agree to players becoming employees with collective bargaining.

Certainly I agree that is their play here, but the NCAA has some red lines they will not cross willingly, such as players gambling on their own games, totally ridiculous eligibility extensions like Trinidad Chambliss, players becoming employees and some I can't remember.

On other issues, the NCAA would rather cave than get plowed in court yet again and have their illusion of relevance further shattered.

It would be good if our federal government was functional and could be trusted to address the problem.
