I disagree, this be like the Gauchos of Argentina and Italian immigrants, they are the exception to the norm here.

Asia's real standard ain't that high, the Japanese are in a stratosphere of their own due to their great farm and developmental and foster system.

The Koreans will undergo the last days of Son and their silver generation.....the new crop ain't that good.

Everyone focused on golf carts, but honestly, shouldn’t the team eating pizza be a giant red card during the World Cup.

I love her and I would sit next to her and drink my whiskey next to her if that were to happen...

...which it unfortunately probably won't. Scotland is unlikely to get one of the 3rd place spots.

On the fence going out to watch the US game tonight. Being a "dead rubber" (another fantastic Brit saying) and the late start, probably just watch this at home.

Could be some chaos today depending on results. On paper, Ivory Coast should handle Curacao but who the hell knows. Germany should handle Ecuador. Netherlands will thump Tunisia and win that group on goal diff...unless Sweden put up another stinker against a solid Japan. No idea what will happen with Australia and Paraguay. Would the Aussies really play a low block against Paraguay? The ball might not leave the center circle for large swaths of that game. Pretty good bet for a 0-0 there.

Embarrassing. Even though they treated it like a friendly in the second half with Kimmich, Wirtz and Nmecha off for guys who would've never seen minutes in a real contest... still, that's not enough and I'm afraid the injuries of Schlotterbeck, Karl and Gnabry will cost us a deeper run.

USA is sloppy tonight. Lots of give aways.... Unforced

In basically a meaningless game tonight.

Like to see the bench players do a little better

Everyone of Turkey's goals were weak defense by us, just sloppy, our 2nd string defenders suck.....

Our finishing needs to be better too, but again, 2nd stringers......so Turkey beat our 2nd team 3-2....oh well.....bring on Bosnia on Wed....let's right the ship.

Sincerely asking but why do people give a rats ass what celebs think so much in America? this celebrity culture in America is so weird. They replaced showing hot women during games with celebs and it's the worst thing ever. More hot women less celebs

And it's rewarded by giving them a candyass opponent in their next game from what I understand. FIFA has to get back in the lab regarding this new format.

IIRC, if Norway lose they get Ivory Coast and then probably Brasil (barring upset next round)

France as the winner would get [a 3rd place team from Groups C/D/F/G/H] and then probably Germany (barring upset)

I just wanted to see a good top-shelf match in the group stage. France is steamrolling them.

eta: I get why they want the new format, it's why March Madness was 64 and has been expanded to more, but there's just way too many teams who don't belong at all.

Any one pissy about that match doesn't understand football nor what it takes in a World Cup. Poch did the right thing rotating most all the squad. The outcome was not important. Yes, winning would've been nice...getting 9 points for the first time. But winning 2 matches in the group stage was already a great accomplishment and the only important thing is the knockout stages. I'd be lying if I didn't thing going into this tournament that last night's game should've been for the group. It wasn't. I do think Poch did learn more about who he can and cannot count on going forward coming from the bench. Berhalter cemented his status as one of the first off the bench. I thought Pepi was terrible and I was surprised they didn't sub Haji Wright in. Pepi kept getting pushed off the ball too easily and seemed slow. Weah and Aaronson didn't do themselves any favors.
