Diaz is too gifted a hitter to stay as bad as he has been. Not that I think he'll be good, but not sub 600 OPS bad.
Insane game. From unreal joy to slashing my wrists back and forward multiple times. Fantastic end Lope coming through. All people questioning trading Sanchez, Toronto fans are pretty much had it with him. There's no place on D for him because his IQ is about his shoe size and he can't do the run Forrest run thingy either because of his ADHD chasing a squirrel grinning when ball is hit to him. I'll take the win, especially putting my eggs in the basket b4 game with Astros -1,5 runs. But gotta say lotta decisions again during game that don't understand. Game we should win before hand and during game and allthough it took great comeback we managed to burn whole house down to get 5 games under .500. Mentally and physicly more draining than the basic 5-2 win not much happening. Somebody else needs to hit behind Yordan until Walker gets a pulse. Walker looks like he is't even seeing the ball. Not like seeing a pitch where it comes and what pitch.....like he's not actually seeing any object coming from pitcher's hand and just guessing that he's in bb game the dude on the little hill usually throws something when he's inside white lines . Nobody needs to come in heart of the plate with Yordan knowing free out waiting right after. If Pena was't good to start he was good to PH in tie game no room to take it lightly just after sitting 7 innings cold and nursing injury on bench? The 1 guy who we need desperately both on D and offense and if we don't make miracle come back we should trade and can't risk to injury seriously? When I say we need urgency and fight and tight good clean bb and sensible AB's and all that crap I don't mean burn and sacrifice everything for 1 win playing dumb and sloppy. Ofcourse players like Pena who always leaves it all on the field wants to participate but manager should know better. We have quite a lot of games in this stretch and would be great to see we rack up win streak or get that illusive sweep. Mariners pitching will keep them afloat, we are 4th in division and 6 teams front of us in WC.
Another enjoyable game to watch. This was a win against last year's World Series team. Think about that.
I like this. Altuve appears to be more comfortable leading off. Walker needs something so hopefully a day off is it. Meyers can't be starting 5-6 games per week. He just has no offensive value. At least Liperfido and Matthews have some unrealized upside to hope for.
Silly not starting Trammell. I understand playing Road Matthews but no reason to sit Brice Game 1 for Meyers then batting Jake 8th. Must admit though.... body is ready for " 5th Lope "
Playing Meyers over Trammell against a rhp is utterly stupid at this point. Hell I’d rather Trammell be in there over Smith too.
