In reality there was no doubt Giannis would be traded by draft night. Knowing that, it came down to being Damage Control......IMHO I am surprised the Bucks even got those Picks..... But in retrospect, Miami has not landed a real Superstar for at least multiple years and were desperate as well.
Yes, Herro at least said he might extend, Jaylen Brown was not looking to extend bc that trade was forced upon him...... So they went against the rental that is Jaylen Brown. At least that was the part that transpired. Giannis' recent injuy proneness.....played a large role there. You are basically a team that is a Play In team without Giannis....why gut the farm for him.
Massive overpay for a questionable fit with questionable health. I do think their defense is going to be kind of ridiculous if everyone stays healthy and they bring back Wiggins, but their lack of spacing is going to be a real challenge for Spo to deal with
he has played in 70 games once in the last 7 years. By the time he's 35-36 and relying on athleticism? no thanks
I guess they think Norman Powell, Mitchell, Wiggins (not to be confused with Rockets legend Mitch Wiggins) are enough for shooting and hope Bam works on his stretch ability? There’s no one else on that team that can get a bucket by themselves though. Maybe Bam but he isn’t great and their guards can’t get to the paint. Maybe they make a run at Harden?
Is Miami making moves in an attempt to trade for Sengun? Knowing they didn't have the pieces to bring Senguns talents to Miami this might be their best bet if Stone is willing to take Giannish from them.
