Starmer will not be the problem. The Corbynites will be the problem.

a decade after Brexit, UK is a divided country.

Polling indicates that a majority of the British public now views leaving the EU as a mistake. Polls show that over 50% of Brits
support rejoining the EU, with strong backing across multiple political factions.

The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) estimated that UK GDP per capita is approximately 6–8% lower than
it would have been had the UK remained in the EU. Investment is down 12–18%, and overall productivity remains sluggish.

Rampant immigration from low IQ and low trust societies has ruined Europe. Socialist policies have ruined Europe. Their economy used to be similar to that of the USA, but in the last 10 years the US has blown past them. Free market principles just work, amigos.

    GOOD DAY

Not surprising. Nationalism equates to hate, which eats itself. It collapses every single time.

    Brexit was a loser.

The thing about nationalism…. It convinces less important people that you are more important.

It convinced an island nation there were still an empire.

Here is a question, if the Brits beg on their knees, would the EU take them back?

They may be onto something, though.

Think about how nice that sort of turnover of head-of-state would be here, right about now.

    Agreed.

I somewhere in the back of my mind think Donald is going to wake up one morning and say I'm done.
    Seems like his MO.

It helps that their Parliament actually has the balls to throw one out from time to time.

I couldn't watch it because my IT dept is blocking me. I hadn't heard about this story, probably because it is in another country. Reading the article's description of the footage and the case, it sounds like a Sikh officer up and murdered someone and has been duly convicted. But when other officers came on the scene they were initially mistaken and confused about the victim's condition until it made itself more obvious and then they tried to save him to no avail because he was mortally wounded. Then all the racists jumped on to make it a thing so they can persecute the Sikhs. The murderer has plainly done something abhorrent and will pay the price, but the way the far right now is trying to use it to sow fear of foreigners and persecute Sikhs is just as abhorrent. I really hope the next PM can find some traction because if he flames out too and the far right wins elections, Britain is effed. I used to work for a British company and my experience with them both left and right (but not far right) is that their wokism is annoying and self-defeating. I like American wokism but British wokism is too much for me. But the far right is way too far a swing.

It has been 10 years. Full of regrets. Majority said it was the wrong decision. 81% of GenZ would vote to rejoin the EU.
