There are echo chambers and then there are right-wing echo chambers.

If you go down the rabbit hole of right-wing media, you’d think it was inevitable that Spencer Pratt would become the mayor of Los Angeles
and the only reason he came in third was election fraud.

It doesn’t occur to right-wingers that Los Angeles is a city to the left of Los Angeles County, which in turn is further to the left of California,
which is further to the left of the rest of the country.

Republicans will only become competitive again in LA on the whole when they restore credibility with voters.
That won’t happen while leading voices on X can’t understand basic math.

At least Democrats aren't sore losing butches like Trump
All Democrats aren't woke and it's just stupid to suggest a Democrat had to cheat to win an election in Los Angeles

I don't live in LA so none of this moves the needle for me.

Mamdani runs NYC and it is exactly 150 miles from my house.
And so far,, still has had no effect on me.
Mayors are mayors, not Governors or legislators.

No way Pratt would have been able to beat any candidate put forward by the democrats.
Hell, Sam Bankman Fried would beat him if he were the nominee.

    Right.

They didn't have to pay the homeless for votes.

Spencer Pratt was never going to win because he was a poor candidate in a city that strongly leans left.

I guess the right-wing media machine cannot really focus on Trump after the debacle in Iran, so Pratt is at least a distraction.

    Grok says:

No, there are no credible reports confirming that homeless people were systematically paid to vote in the June 2, 2026, Los Angeles mayoral primary.

    What circulated:
    • Viral TikTok videos (from accounts like laneedsspencerpratt) showed a few Skid Row individuals claiming they were paid small amounts ($2–$5) to fill out ballots or vote for Karen Bass (and sometimes Nithya Raman).
    • These spread quickly on social media, amplified by supporters of Spencer Pratt (who led early but fell to third after late mail-in ballots were counted).
    Why these claims lack credibility:
    • LA County election officials directly addressed one prominent video: The woman shown was registered to vote in Inglewood (not LA), and there was no evidence she cast a ballot in the LA mayoral race.
    • LA Times reporters went to Skid Row, interviewed ~20 residents, and found none reported being offered money to vote for a specific candidate. Most hadn't voted or been approached about the election.
    • Bass campaign and officials called the specific allegations false/misinformation.
    • Election experts noted that even if isolated cases occurred, they couldn't affect an election with hundreds of thousands of votes.
    Related but distinct issues:
There have been documented problems with payments to homeless people on Skid Row, but they involve voter registration and petition signatures (not direct vote-buying in this election):
    • In May 2026, a woman (Brenda Lee Brown Armstrong) pleaded guilty to paying Skid Row residents small amounts ($2–$3, or items like cigarettes) to register to vote and sign petitions for ballot measures over years. This was tied to her work as a paid signature gatherer, not a specific campaign or the mayoral race.
    • Broader reports of ballot harvesting, questionable registrations at shelters, and petition fraud in the area exist, but officials and investigations haven't linked them to organized vote-buying for Bass/Raman in the 2026 primary.
In short, the viral videos appear to be unverified anecdotes (some debunked), while broader concerns about Skid Row practices reflect known issues with petition gathering and registration under California's rules — not proven, widespread paid voting in this election. No major credible outlets (e.g., LA Times, election officials) have substantiated the core claim.

Amigo -- you believe the 1 in a trillion statistical probability hit, huh? And you believe the video evidence of vote purchasing is false? WOW.

We've got a programmed individual on our hands. Or too prideful to admit his mistake!

Even in the face of overwhelming evidence, the American liberal simply cannot bring himself to admit he's wrong. It's clear that they cannot be taken seriously -- they have been overtaken by emotions.

    GOOD DAY

You think people saying that they would go find a voting center, stand in line to cast a ballot for 2-4 dollars... wouldn't be willing to make a 20 second clip lying that they did that for 2-4 bucks?

The later seems a lot easier.

therin lies Traitor George's willful stupidity
The city of LA is more liberal than LA county, which is more liberal than the state of Calif,
which is way more liberal than the whole country,

    >85% of the electorate, in the city of LA, are Dems

for the benefit of the out-of-towner Traitor George, fake new alert, as this is
the latest lie being spin by out-of-towners

    there is no neighborhood/council district in LA named San Recto;
a listing of all council districts in the city of Los Angeles
