This is how much they progressed in less than 1 Year, from a projected 6th Seed to Almost 1st Seed and now Finals.

 

Except when Uncle Dennis and Nephew Kawhi won in 2014. Even Numero.

 

Yeah, Kawhi made a name for himself in the playoffs that year. Duncan was in his twilight years.

The Spurs dynasty hasn’t begun. It will begin in 2027 or 2028 or 2029 playoffs when Wemby isn’t a little kid and gets more muscle and strength and stops calling for the ball at the perimeter and is able to destroy in the paint and the perimeter simultaneously.

 

Yea… perhaps. But also maybe not. Things change a lot in this league. Last 8 years or so it’s been a new champion every year. Wemby could get hurt and they may never even win a single title for all we know. They’re positioned good. But a healthy Thunder would have been in the finals.

 

When the Rockets swept Shaq & Penny in the finals, everyone still thought their Magic team would dominate for years. Just goes to show, you never know.
