Rockets need value, not market value. New players should be found in the Draft.

    Keep: Amen and Jabari

Trade if we get valuable assets back: FVV and KD

Need to trade: Alpi, Reed, DFS, Capela

    Sign and trade: Tari

Then we figure out who we should sign.

We arent making huge waves with any FAs this year - even if we manage to free up significant cap space.

If this team is going to make big changes it would almost certainly have to happen with trades and it's been a while since Stone clearly won one of those.

That's almost exactly how I see it.
    The only exception being, Reed.
High quality young players and picks back.

Been a Sexton fan for a while. I think he would cost MLE or less to acquire. He'd be perfect in a 6th microwave scorer type of role. I don't see use bringing in another small guard unless one of FVV or Reed is gone though.

We ain't signing anyone. I bet this year will be another "this is not our year" moment. Until we actually move on from Fred and KD's contract, we will be stuck with very little wiggle room

I'm just holding onto my eyeroll until I see the inevitable "Trae Young will be a FA tomorrow!" post.

Signing Tari is going to consume whatever room we have under the apron, so I see no way we can sign a free agent, even with the MLE available.

But it’s fun to dream about finding that difference-making PG in free agency.

Maybe a sign-and-trade to move Tari somewhere with cap space in exchange for a pick or whatever?

Listened to the Clutch/Ben podcast and glad they pretty much feel the same as I feel above.

They're a bit higher on Reed than I am.

Also glad that they are not high on a Jalen Brown move.

I hope Stone will focus on finding good three point shooters to replace most of the current bench that they have. There is no need to trade any of the young core despite the impatience of some fans. As long as Ime is the coach, a championship is out of reach. So, it might be best for the Rockets to have their young players gain more experience and build more chemistry. The more they know each other's games, the better they will play together.
