    Trump's Iran 'peace deal' isn't a deal. It's surrender

Way back on March 6, not long after President Donald Trump hurled America into the dumbest war imaginable,
our Nobel-Peace-Prize-deficient leader declared on social media:
More than 14 weeks, thousands of lost lives and billions upon billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars later, it appears America is the one surrendering.

If this were anything approaching Trump’s previous claim of “unconditional surrender,” do you think Trump and
his ego would be able to keep quiet about the details?

That’s not a victory for us. Trump can call it the best, most amazing peace deal in history. But it’s not really a deal.
And it looks for all the world like we’re surrendering to get out of a war we never should’ve started in the first place.

GOP hawks, including Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz and Mike Pompeo fear the administration is giving away too much, potentially lifting sanctions and allowing Iran to enrich uranium while retaining regional leverage, openly warning that the deal amounts to a surrender

We can be happy that Americans' lives are no longer in danger, lament how foolish this whole excursion was, and acknowledge that Iran is in a stronger strategic position than it was before the war.

He’s saying we might want to strategically downplay / ignore the reality of the situation to avoid the risk of pressuring the Government into changing course to a worse outcome over the backlash.

Isn’t something people should have to worry about doing amongst adults making level headed decisions within government, but, you know.

Our troops are still in danger though for the next three months if I'm reading this right.

The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States undertake to negotiate and reach a final agreement within a maximum period of 60 days, extendable by mutual consent.

Immediately upon the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, the United States Lift the naval blockade and prevent any interference or obstruction against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and restore traffic within a maximum of 30 days to its full capacity; the traffic of ships shall be proportional to the pre-war volume of traffic on the part of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The United States also undertakes to withdraw its forces from the surrounding areas within 30 days after the final agreement.

By what that says it could be 90 days before we withdraw our forces. That's if there aren't any extensions or conflicts before then. I don't know how Israel's refusal to stop it's invasion and bombing in Lebanon will affect it all.

I don't think he listens to anyone except a narrow inner "media" circle. They are at it again, but not as uniform. Could be why the US has not released their version of the MOU.

Today, POTUS sees Iranian leaders the way he sees leaders from NK, Russia, China…

    At G7, concerning Iranian regime:

“I never cared about regime change"

“We’re dealing with people that I think are very rational people. And they were nice to deal with.... They were strong people, smart people... They’re not radicalized, and they’re, you know, looking to help their country.”

(on removal of the enriched uranium) “The whole mountain has collapsed on top. We have cameras on it,” "You could make the case ‘Why are you even bothering?’ ’cause it’s not really valuable. It’s, you know, it’s probably half a million dollars’ worth. It’s not very valuable stuff, but I think psychologically we wanna get it.”

He's still posting Iranian propaganda -- amazing. Despite being humiliated time and time again by its inaccuracies.

Some people are very slow learners!

JCPOA had safe guards in place to endure Iran wasn't enriching above a certain level... this deal has no such measure and Iran hasn't agreed on giving up it's enriched uranium which the JCPOA ensured they didn't have... This deal gives them 6x the amount of money that the JCPOA did.... This deal is literally 10x worse than JCPOA but the MAGA cult won't care

Bloomberg has already verified the MOU it's funny watching you dumbass cultists who spent years hating on Obama deal suck off Trump while his deal is 100x worse on every front. If the leaked MOU is fake then why hasn't the WH published it?

It's so satisfying watching the cult cope in real time that their cult leader is surrendering to Iran. Now Bloomberg nd wsj is suddenly Iranian propaganda lmaoo

You posted unvetted Iranian propaganda -- then you dishonestly try to cover it up with a Bloomberg post. Shameful. No integrity, no honor, no moral core.

Obama never got Iran to give up the nuclear ambitions. Obama never destroyed Iran's military. Trump did both. That must anger you greatly!

    LOVE IT

LOL oh yeah foxnews owned wall street journal and Bloomberg are suddenly Iranian propaganda. I love watching you dumbass cultists squeal and pretend your cult leader didn't surrender to the Iranians.

The MOU literally allows Iran to keep its enrichment program and keep its enriched uranium in exchange for a pinky promise they won't build a bomb lol.

Thank you. What i worry most is Trump through a fit a couple of weeks down the line and then screw up a chance of peace for the region and the world.

Trump Casually Dismisses Iran's Enriched Material After All The Buildup

Preventing Iran from getting a nuke was The Reason Trump settled on ex post facto on why the US went to war with Iran. Now that Trump has got bored with the war he started, it is no BFD.

One could make the argument that Trump started the war because he likes to see bombs go boom and ended the war when he got bored. It is time to invoke the 25th Amendment. Trump is showing the judgment of an elementary school child, down from the middle school bully in his first term.
