SO close. 0-0 is heroic. Anyone who rolls their eyes at that scoreline thinks it's reflective of boredom when, in reality, Cape Verde just pulled off something awesome and Spain should receive negative points.
I would have lost it if he made that. I was ready with it. Belgium sub just scored in about 10 seconds of play.
Looks like Belgium's golden generation is vanishing for good and they're back to being mediocre. Group G seems to be the weakest next to B.
I couldn't care less about soccer, but I feel sorry for those soccer fans who traveled from all over to watch their teams play in Houston. What a miserable experience it will be this week with this weather.
It will be fine. They game is indoors and I am sure the rain will keep the walk to stadium bearable. They invented the Umbrella in Europe.
I wasn't speaking of the actual game, but more of the outdoor vendors and activities. Light rain and umbrellas is one thing, but downpours and lightning like forecasted would s*ck for those staying a few days and spending thousands.
Spain looks so damn overrated for being the no 1 seed. I was rooting hard for Cape Verde to humble them.
France is the heavy favorite for most but I'm not sold on a Rabiot/Tchouameni midfield, Hernandez on left back or Maignan in goal. The offense is enviable though, even the bench players.
Close, questionable call on the PK just almost but not awarded to France. Senegal's keeper and defense are doing a solid Cape Verde impersonation
