We don't have a franchise player, but hopefully someone develops into it.....still a few candidates.

    Amen, Reed and Jabari, Alpi.

Fox is actually a decent defender. His defense wasn't the problem. Fox was trash on offense

His defense was not good. When you have Wemby in the middle and defensive wings all ove the spurs that players misgivings don’t get highlighted. Also see warriors

At the same contract value, who would you take: Fox or FVV?

If they were the same age, pretty easily FVV. At their current ages with the same contract value, pretty easily Fox. At their current ages and contract value, very very easily FVV.

Excerpt from that tweet..."Fred and Reed are both too small to share the court and you have to figure Amen will continue getting some reps at point guard. (It's unlikely that Rafael Stone's jumbo pg fetish just disappeared overnight). "

I expect the Reed and FVV lineups are going to be fun provided Sengun isn't center or Sengun plays defense. Granted, this assumes FVV is reasonably healthy. Defense might be a little weak, but come on, the offense will be fun and likely more than make up for it. I just don't think Ime has as much issue with FVV guarding up as most fans.

No offense with FVV is fun.

I hope Reed comes back looking absolutely jacked

He's never going to beat guys off the dribble anyway, so might as well

I disagree. He has step quickness and explosion. He just needs to get stronger in his core. In the nba, even if you beat someone off the dribble, you still need to finish around the rim

Fred VanVleet and Patrick Beverley both praised Reed Sheppard on a recent episode of his podcast.

Beverley said Sheppard can “hoop” and has “real game."

VanVleet said Sheppard had “multiple days where he was the best player in the gym” in practice last year.

Never bad to hear some praise, but this isn't exactly a revelation. Not like Reed is some secret weapon yet to be unleashed on the rest of the NBA.

There were a number of games this past season where Reed was arguably, if not clearly, the best player on the court. At the very least, Milwaukee, Miami, twice against Denver, and twice against Golden State.

Practice? What we talking about....PRACTICE? We not talking about the game....we talking about PRACTICE!

He needs to show it in the game!
