It's a lifestyle. Hoes, strip clubs, guns. Gotta maintain the image. You don't want anyone to think you're slippin'
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/49051311/cavaliers-harden-charged-unlawful-carrying-weapon Come on people, do better. All he had was his gun unholstered (in our very own Harris county) on the car seat and some cop decided to arrest him for it. Most non-racist cops would have let it slide with a warning, or maybe a ticket, but to get arrested for that in Harris county? Had to be some shenanigans going on. Harden literally paid a $100 bond to get off, that's how dangerous the law thinks he is. And yet we have people on this forum asking for Ja Morant. Never change cfans.net.
My first thought after reading the story is that no way the police would've even bothered if he were white
and see I would think that Harden was being an a**... I'd assume the cops would be too lazy to go through the hassle of taking him in unless he really pissed em off... not for nothing... but my father got pulled over in Houston in mid 80s and was dui... instead of taking him in, they beat him, tossed his wallet's contents and left him in a ditch... we moved to cali within the next year... He was a middle-aged white dude and although he insisted to the contrary, I'd bet money that he was talking smack... probably acing all the stupid human tricks and providing commentary along the way...
The first thing that popped in my head was CP3’s hamstring. That championship would’ve made him untouchable for the rest of his life in Houston and surrounding areas.
This is Texas Class A misdemeanor, but this is getting dropped. Jury nullification for sure. I haven't read the story or know where this was in town but you have someone high profile with no criminal record that needs protection. No brandishing, no history. Fifteen years ago I was coming home from work after midnight on a Friday still in my suit and got pulled over. The cop lied that he stopped me because I was swerving in between lanes. No asking questions or any introduction when I presented my dl/ins just ordered me out of the truck into the grass. He tried to trick me by going around behind me and told me to get against the vehicle. He asked me how much I had been drinking and I told him I just came from work. MFer didn't believe me and asked me if I had been arrested before and if I was lying to him I was going to jail. He left for 5 minutes to run my ID and came back pissed that he had to let me go but just like parking tickets it was obvious he had a quota for DUIs and he wanted to stick me but knew I was going to blow zero if he tried to frame me.
