Castle looks okay. But he is kind of similar to one of our guys who does everything two notches better than Castle. His name is Amen Thompson.

I think Carrington is going to be special. I would trade Cam for him right now.

Nice find. All of this is new to me. Good thing because these guys had no idea what they were talking about.
I do because I called this whole thing with Reed way before the draft. Now after seeing him play I'm telling you he is a 12 pt 3asst 2reb starter who will not be able to start. The bust label will stick because of him being drafted #3. Sorry but I did warn you all ahead of time.

Lol. Like for all the debates of whether Reed could be at least respectable compared to Castle. It could be far worse.

Retrospective on this poll... only 1.8% wanted Castle. Shows how dumb fans can be.

The reality is this draft class was a crapshoot, it was very difficult to separate and rank the top 6 or 7 prospects, and none of them were as good as you'd like for the top of a draft, and that's still the case. None of these guys are likely to ever be superstars. Even Castle is never going to be a #1 option, although he might have a better career than Reed.

This is still not a draft miss I'm losing any sleep over. Wake me up when we miss out on an actual MVP contender / offensive engine of a championship caliber team within a few picks of our draft position.

Lol yep, that 1.8% yall get to brag about the pick, whoever yall are.

The rest of yall need to chill out on the "HOW COULD STONE MISS THIS PICK!" talk. Castle wasn't some lock at three, there were many fan debates surrounding him in fact I know many spurs fans wanted Reed instead to pair with Wemby's shooting.

This draft didn't have stand out studs, it really sucks our draft luck came in probably one of the weakest drafts the past ten years but whatever, it happened. I still have hope in Reed I think he had a very good 'rookie' season and want to see if he's going to come back improved. As long as a young player is getting better each season and not stagnating I'm for being patient with them.

True that Castle is better than reed as of now. Yet, I sense that we only tap in the early reed raw potential. I will hold my judgement on comparing the two till year 5 after sufficient playing real time for reed. Castle is lucky to be immediately put in as a starter on day 1 and thus was able to immediately start getting the NBA sense and grow on the season start.

Yet I may crazily trade reed for Acuff, or reed + first round pick for Darius Acuff + second round pick or appropriate 2nd player .... Which reflects a safer gamble and the doubt I have about reed over coming his shortages ( not tall enough, physical bump competency, etc.)

I wanted Reed. I'm also not paid millions of dollars annually to pick the right players.

I don't know, it seems like a pretty big miss if Castle turns out to be all star player/3rd team all-NBA player - that is better than anybody we currently have on the team.

That's way better than anything Reed will ever do and what kills it is that Udoka clearly preferred Castle and BAP and Stonetitta galaxy brained themselves into the "generational shooter" "cocaine curry" eval to pretend they weren't drafting for need and it cost them.

The other thing that sucks is it's becoming apparent (Brunson notwithstanding) that small guards are on the outs in an era where bigger guys have small-guard skillls

It's hilarious that we'd see the absolutely brain dead take that PG sized PG's are "on the outs" during a finals where the team with the SF sized PG is getting crushed by the team playing Brunson and Alvarado.... then again I guess we should just consider the source and laugh.

The Spurs really wish you were the one making the picks for the Rockets... they'd be about to win an NBA championship right now instead of catching the gentleman's sweep.
