Should be impossible to go 82-0 with Al Harrington.. That's the Wilt cheat code. Recently, someone seriously calculated Wilt's blocks at around 7 to 10, or something like that. He'd be an even bigger cheat code.

Is it based on the stats for that player that decade? Or their career stats? I got 90s Boston and can choose McHale or Bird...I'm doing it with no stats but guessing their last season or two wasn't their best ball.

don't think CP3 and Curry can co-exit on the same team, i'd replace CP3 w Gary Payton

Cos 80s Kareem is role player half the time with lower stats, Dominique has low assists, and Brunson is only a 2nd all-nba teamer.

Yes, it takes the stats from only said decade. So the average stat goes down with a player's the developmental years or waning years.

I also think the game uses advanced stats too and accounts for empty stats. I think steals and blocks have higher weights, and perhaps like win-share.
Cos I had the luck to be able to compare teams with four identical players with one different player. The more accomplished player seems to give you a higher score than a no name player with better raw stat. It may somehow account for team structure and synergy.

For example, pairing a C with a high block high rebound PF but lower scoring tends to yield better results than with a high point but low defense stats. It seems to reward a shot-blocking rebounding frontline, and a high assist high steal backcourt. It favors a balanced team over a high scoring no defense team.
Like a 120-130s PPG team with defense got a higher overall score than a 150PPG team with weaker defense.
