Yeah, of course. Our only quality winger.

Good game but our defense lacks class, that first goal was atrocious marking

Miles Robinson was responsible for 3 of the 4 goals we conceded. We need a healthy Richards more than anything

Ok win for Germany, most players not there yet, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Didn't like the vibes all around the game at all, from the individual introduction of every player, not just the starters, to the unnecessary hydration breaks and the extra large half time. That **** needs to stop asap. Weird atmosphere in the stadium as well... will need international fans to make this World Cup at least somewhat enjoyable.

Not sure you're aware but every world cup game will have hydration breaks. The Yanks have to eff up the game for commercial breaks $$$

Fully aware, still annoying to experience it first hand.

In other news, the Iranian team must enter and leave US soil on the same day the matches are played. Outrageous decision, if you don't want the world to come, don't host a World Cup. The Iranian players have qualified fair and square and deserve the same treatment like everyone else.

Hope this whole mess has at least one positive note, and that would be Infantino's resignation.

Did Eriksen have another heart attack?

I'm sure it would help your Fun Meter if Germany would make it out of the group stage again ;)

Eriksen collapsed again but thankfully stable according to Danish officials, also apparentely a shooting with nine injured near the English camp in Missouri... we don't believe in omen, do we?

The shooting was ~5 miles from the English camp (England's hotel is 15 miles away). Happened at 4AM, no fatalities.

I'm not saying that makes it better.

I'm glad Eriksen is ok but that should be the last time he's on the pitch as a player. Not a fair way for him to end his stellar career...but it's better than him dying on the field.

I do not have a good feeling for how this World Cup will be executed ultimately. Between the political climate affecting entire national teams, the ridiculous new rules (some are ok but water breaks in indoor stadiums are absolutely pointless), the prices that are going to lead to empty stadiums (how many people did they seriously expect to shell out hundreds of dollars to see Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia), the weak groups due to too many minnows, etc., etc. Either way, though, they'll declare it the best ever once it's all said and done.
