~~49% of Paramount's debt financing are from foreign sources, a lot from three Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds:
    • Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund,
    • the Qatar Investment Authority and
    • Abu Dhabi’s L’imad Holding Company, located in the United Arab Emirates,

on the day of the announced deal, records show

then Trump's stupidity set in, bombing Iran and initiating a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, adversely affecting the financial wellness of
these 3 Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds, leading to this recent development.

it'd not be far-fetched to speculate that these 3 funds may pare their debt financing to paramount, forcing it to sell off many of
its assets (fillm inventory). NFLX can pick them out at bargain basement prices

    in late Feb 2026

    but, not so fast

today, Jun 5, 2026, in giving Trump's 2.0 the finger,

US states preparing lawsuit to block Paramount's acquisition of Warner Bros

The case would mark the boldest move yet by the states in their effort to be at the forefront of U.S. antitrust enforcement, as their better-funded counterpart agencies in the Trump administration take a more business-friendly view of enforcement.
