The shorts look strange with the weird triangular cut out on the leg. Do other teams have that? Maybe I just haven’t noticed.
Yeah, not a fan of these, but whatever - the only thing I'll probably ever buy is a cap anyway, so hopefully won't need one before the next tease-of-a-rebrand. My worst fear now is what the primary color will be for the court during that dumb NBA Cup where they decide to blow out retinas. The Rockets had that bright red court. Will they make the court neon yellow now or keep it bright red? I'm going to have to wear shades while watching tv with that court and some of these unis.

That triangle patch ain't it. Just go back to the 90s logo dammit! Reminds me of this for some reason.
My guess is brand equity, "nationally & world-wide" and not just in Houston locally. There are a lot of factors that go into the brand logo.
Something like this except: 1) I couldn't get the same stripes from the shoulders neck on the bottom trim of the pants 2) The waistband logo isn't PNG so there's white box around it. 3) The shorts could have the same logo as the waistband on the lower left leg or some other logo 4) Only so many fonts to choose from This is along the lines of how I would've done it. Not perfect but you get the idea. Timeless like the Celtics, Knicks, etc.
