9th inning in this game would've been an appropriate situation for Abreu to pitch, not yesterday.

    Great win

yesterday’s loss still stings. Really had a chance to win the series. Extra tough pitcher tomorrow.

Pena looked like he barely swung -- ala McGuire, peak-power.

Somethings got to be wrong with Abreu. He’s been straight up money for the past few years. And this year he’s been pitching like dog excrement.

I would not be surprised to see him get in the IL, he’s probably playing through some injury.

At least that’s my opinion, only based on a gut feeling. Because it doesn’t seem the Astros doctors have been in top of their game. Too many players getting hurt way too often the past few years (means they aren’t being properly conditioned); seems it’s very disproportionate to what other teams experience.

I had fully thought Abreu was about to price himself out of the Astros price range for his next contract. That assumption almost looks laughable now.

Man this is a lot more fun when you’re in contention. I know it’s due to a horrific division, but still. If we can get brown, harder, etc back we could keep this run going.

would be huge to win tomorrow but it’ll be tough

He was pretty bad end of last season when Hader went down also. It's all mental for him.

He seems to be weak mentally and get the yips. He had an insanely bad ERA against every AL West team. He was responsible for a ton of blown games against division rivals, especially the Mariners.
