    Unsurprisingly, we agree.

Oh, and Dude, "they just don't seem to get it" is not the preferred nomenclature. They just don't seem to "get" it, please.

If you ain't down with the needless quotation marks around 'get,' you ain't down with cf.net.

We should have picked Amare instead of Yao.
We should have won the lottery a year later.
We should have traded for Ray Allen instead of TMac when Ray's stock was low and he wanted out ASAP.
We shouldn't have changed our uniforms from the classic colors after winning championships.
    We should have kept EG.
We should have beat the Lakers last year in the playoffs.
We should have kpt Cat out of the TMac trade.
We should FREE BOKI and FREE BADIANE and FREE BARRETT!

We should not have let Tierre Brown go:(

We been saying this for a long time but can Ming Yao really drain the 20-footer consistently? My answer is not - at least not yet.

So if he cannot drain the 20-footer now consistently doesn't nulify the highpost talks at least for now?

Imho, Yao will be better served scoring more from close range with sky hooks and drop steps in the lane.

Realistically speaking what exactly are Yao's strengths? I am not talking about myths or some outdated scouting report. I am talking about his strengths from what you have seen in the last years.

    The booing IS called for.

I love this damn team, but I'll be the first to boo when they play like ass. Last night was one of my worst sporting experiences - gameplay wise - ever. It was as depressing as the 2nd half of the Texans-Green Bay game.

    It's unbelievable.

Booing though, is our way of letting the players know that WE KNOW they are slacking off, and are capable of much more. It let's the organization know that we are not happy with the play of our "point guard(s)" and the style of play generally.

Keep being polite and watch nothing change. Be vocal and watch them make changes to try to keep people planted in seats.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease, right?

Okay fine basso. Do you believe he can drain that shot (15-footer) consistently? based on what you have seen from him all these years....

We never should have traded away SF. If we had simply tried moving him to SG and bringing in a decent PG like Jon Barry or Damon Jones, I woulda lived with the defensive mismatch at SG. Not ike our defense is doing so great right now. This **** is ridiculous. I've been avoiding all things Rox for the last few days now, including the Pistons game. I'm going back to my cave tiull things get better again. Meanwhile, fire JVG :D

I'm starting to agree, this is pathetic. Cat, Cato, and (ugh) Steve, along with Yao all had a good chemistry compared to this team. I'm sure things will turn around eventually(more because of the fact that we can't get much worse), the rox just need to find out what kind of team they are and work to those strengths instead of doing the same crap over and over again when it's clearly not working.

This was the first time in so long that i can remember the fans start booing at the Toyota Center.

I was embarrassed watching them when they started to just give up the ball left and right and play like the game was over.

It was sad to hear the PA guy try to hype us up with a 14 point deficit.

It was sad to see everyone get up and leave and boo at the same time.

It was sad to hear the Detroit fans in my section screaming at the fans saying "where are you goin!"

This is just a sad day to me in Rockets History.

The defense is fine but im sorry the Offense sucks so bad that McGrady can barely get into double digits these days.

JJ is taking shots left and right and so is everyone else and T-Mac is just turning into a very expensive and highly talented passer. That's all we have got out of him so far.

We need a coaching change or some change in general that is going to unleash the talent we do have on this team.

It's these loser Knickerbockers we keep picking up that's holding us down. We need to dump them and get some former Rockets to coach this squad.

JVG definitely isn't putting his foot down to take control of this team. It's just getting ridiculous. That so-called defense that was there last year is gone. The offense that was there last year is history.

Yao is suppose to be the Great Wall of China. Instead, he's worse than the backyard fence of Treasures.

I agree. We had a back court that averaged close to 40pts a game IIRC, and had no problem with rebounding last season with Cato around.

I liked where we were heading last season. The team was exciting, and had so much heart. There is NONE of that now.

Yes, I know the purpose of this thread. I'm going to whine anyway.

All started going south after the Posey fiasco. DesertScar, RIET, and maybe one other poster were the only other regulars that sounded the warning bells on this. You get what you pay for. You want a cheap role player, you end up with a mediocre or one-dimensional player (see Pike/Griffin/Ward/Mutombo/Lue/etc.)

Terrible decision then, and our lack of athleticism now makes it a tremendously horrible one. That started the march towards an unathletic, slow-down team. JP would have been capable of filling in the rebounding slack on this team.

It was right after JVG's hiring and while I blamed the owner not the coach, hp replied to stick my head on the block and blame the new coach for the move (still popular at that point). I replied that if JVG is the one making the call, he deserves blame. We can't know for certain, but the personnel moves have continued to be bad, possibly even worse than before.

    E. Griffin was another big setback. Perhaps he was going to stick it to us no matter what, but we could have at least used him to our advantage. We heard from veteran posters how terrible he was, so we shouldn't consider soiling our image with his baggage. At least he was capable of the high 10+ rebound game as well as shot blocking to bolster Yao. While I applaud the image considerations, couldn't we have taken the flyer on him (renewing the contract), got his stock back up, then traded him for a useful part later? Now Minnesota has the asset, free of charge.

Keep those two (or trade them) and maybe they win 53+ games last year, SF, Cat and Cato are still here, and we are not having this conversation. Keep Rice for depth last year, hold on to the 1st rounder (and 2nd rounders) we stupidly gave away, and this year we get even better.

A Griffin? Ward and not Damon/Brown/James? The BBS saw these failures a mile away. You can't keep taking other teams' trash and expect great things.
