I believe people would lose their senses when they are acting out of desparation... so I am choosing Phil will solve all the problems...
How about those folks like me that see the good in all this like a high draft pick! Wooohooo! Who's the next Nachbar?
Thoughts on the Morgue... The most excitement for me was when a really hot dancer gave my son one of the 800 t shirts that they throw to the crowd. He was so pumped until he realized that the shirt was an adult extra large. The second most exciting part of the night was when the singer at halftime put on a mini concert with his hit "Turn me on". He probably hasn't preformed in front of an audience that small since he sang for his family at Thanksgiving...good times. The guy who came out of the crowd to sing Rocket Man by Elton John was better. You know you are in trouble when the public address announcer is PLEADING with people to cheer...and i mean PLEADING! I know that winning would cure SOME of the Morgue's issues...but you are better off being long Enron stock these days than Rocket tickets (like I am)...at least people would pay you for the stock certs to have as a collectible.
My company just sent out a mass email offering half price tickets to Tuesday's game with the Hornets. I guess even the corporate big-wigs are giving up. We're thinking of buying some and going to the game with bags over our heads. It would be a great way to be on Sportscenter.
i agree with NJrocket. the best part of my night last night had nothing to do with the game. i sat in my tmac pack seats (they are pretty nice and i was pleased), saw into the tunnel to the locker room before the team came out (saw the guys stretching in there) and got a boki bobblehead (as i am a fan...he's cute!). but as soon as the game started, it was unbearable. that first possession turnover set the tone for the whole game. the only game i can think of more painful to watch was last december's game against san antonio in which the half time score was 25-30. observation-sura was really mad. he was the first one into the locker room and on his way in, he knocked over a stand. i didn't boo the team (just doesn't seem right) but they deserved it. i'm going to stick by the team no matter what, but i might occasionally be complaining as well. on the other hand, i really enjoy watching the pistons play.
agree...I had a good time at the game myself...and us po folks inthe upper deck dont get jack thrown our way...but what I enjoyed ost was seeing how much fun my kid had at the game....she is a huge Yao fan and this was the first time she has gotten to go to a game. We were up in the cheap seats yelling all night... got my Boki bobblehead....tre cool.... also agree on the booing....it just didnt seem right....they played badly....like crap even...but I never boo my team... and to answer the question in chat that I missed.....No...I didnt boo...and never even thought of throwing a beer on court...not that I was drinking anyway...I had my kid with me... it isnt pretty....and Im not happy or proud of them...but come hell or high water...they are MY team...and I still have faith they will get things worked out soon....one way or the other. btw Will....you are indeeed a bbs god...finally stickying a thread for everyone to b**** in....long overdue. unfortunately......like codell says.....they just dont seem to get it.
