From the flyer: tickets to this event were provided to season ticket holders and there is a phone number on the flyer to RSVP. The event is this Sunday from 3pm - 5pm at the JW Marriott. I have 4 tickets to this and will be attending with my family. It occurs to me that I may be able to spend a second or two with coach/players. Any ideas about what I should say to/ask Van Gundy, Yao or T-Mac? I know your first reaction is to tell me to chastise them, but I'd really like to hear some good ideas about statements or questions for them. -- droxford

Please post and let us know if its formal or not. Ive already RSVPed. This is the first time theyve done this I think. They usually have a fan appreciation at DnB near the end of the season. I guess they are in damage control mode.
I just called and the guy said it is sort-of business casual, but I got the impression that it leans to the formal side. A tux would probably be too formal. A suit and business casual will be the norm. Casual to sloppy.. uuh.. no. He also said that cameras can be brought in, but not to stop players and ask to have pictures taken. Keep cameras low-key. Said there my be some autograph signing, but he didn't really know how they were going to arrange that. Tim: If you still read this bbs, can you provide more info on this event for us? -- droxford

ask JVG what he usually says to players to motivate them and also if he knows any offensive plays other than telling the team to wait for yao to fight for position and try to lob the ball towards him

Rockets party was a blast!!! although T-mac was unable to attend due to a death in the family it was still amazing! I finally got the pleasure of meeting Tim and Droxford very classy guys, Droxford is gonna post pics so I will let him do all the work Great job Tim and the organization, the food was excellent! One question though where was Jeff Van Gundy? Following players I saw that attended: Yao Boki Howard Lue Weatherspoon Padgett now could have been more but thats all I had the chance of seeing. My condolences to the Mcgrady family
