Tough break, kid. Hope he uses it as motivation to do better wizardry and less whining next year (to impress the ladies).
if he stays in Houston, we/he need to make the following adjustments. 1. He has developed “Eason Blindness” meaning there are too many times where he is hell bent on taking a shot. He needs to be looking to pass more often 2. shooting mechanics need to improve. They are too inconsistent. 3. we need to do a better job in tailoring our offense around his skill set in regards to passing. Most mostly this would mean people cutting off the ball or moving around and I know this is currently a foreign concept. 4. I think he’s come a long way with his stamina, but I believe he can get a little bit better.
I definitely want him to become more pass-first. He forces the action too often when it just isn't there, that's why his efficiency is poor lately. I think he can average an extra assist and shoot 55% again, at the cost of a couple of points per game. (Maybe he can get those points back efficiently if he becomes a passable 3P shooter.)
Not knowing any details, really tough for Alpi. They seemed really close. Hope the break was amicable and that he can focus on himself a little bit in the offseason.
Me: "Hannah, what are the odds of a guy like you and a girl like me getting together?" Hannah: . . . .
She was holding him back, whispering "Take contested 15 foot turnaround jumpers over 7footers, baby" in his ear. A snake sent by Armenians operating in the shadows.
