We’re forever behind the spurs…..1995 was the pinnacle….sad

 

IMO, refs let them play way too physical in the 4th quarter. The grabbing and holding each and every possession was ridiculous. I'm surprised a fight didn't break out.

Regardless, great effort by both teams. T-Wolves did the best they possibly could against an athletic, handsy defense with The Freak Show in the middle. They took advantage and crashed the offensive glass when the Spurs surrounded Victor with small guys and it kept them within striking distance.

On the Spurs side, Victor was the only player on their team to play well on offense against a defense that was allowed to get away with any and everything (except fouling guys shooting the ball). Without Victor blowing up, this would have been a 15+ point win for the T-Wolves.

Too bad there had to be a loser.

Two more things: (1) Jaden McDaniels needs to screw his head on. He killed his team tonight. (2) I don't think there is another opponent in the NBA that will give Julius Randle as many mismatch opportunities on offense as the Spurs. He can force his way at will to within 6-feet of the basket (and to the rim if Victor is resting). He should score 20+.

 

If Fox is not hitting his shots, Minny has a chance, like tonight and Game 1. If Fox makes shots, like Game 2, it's going to be a blow out.

Wolves had a chance tonight. Just not enough fire power.

We don't want a team full of floppers like OKC repeating as champions, so I want the Spurs to beat them in the conference finals, and the Knicks to beat the Spurs.

Whatever it is, the Rockets need to get themselves on the right path to being a contender. We are far away from that at the present.

When asked what he utilized from Olajuwon in the fourth quarter, Wembanyama said: "Many things, but especially that spin fadeaway over Rudy."

The newly added moves helped Wembanyama break a cycle of futility in Minneapolis and produce his second career outing (including the regular season) with at least 35 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks. David Robinson (five times) and Tim Duncan (twice) are the only other Spurs to produce that statistical line in a regular-season or postseason game.

and I don’t understand why you would call the regular season one way, then just switch everything up for the postseason…players are used to one thing for 82 games, and then all of the sudden it’s now completely different
